Hamid Karzai is most certainly getting a little worried about his safety with the Taliban working on killing all his advisors and family members.
Sounds like the Taliban is taking a page out of the United States playbook, target all the upper level guys and kill them.

One of Afghan President Hamid Karzai's senior advisers has been killed by militants in an attack on his home in Kabul.
Police said two gunmen strapped with explosives stormed Jan Mohammad Khan's house murdering him and local politician Hasham Atanwal.
Officers killed one of the attackers before he could detonate his explosives. The other one blew himself up shortly after dawn after barricading himself in the house.
Jan Mohammed Khan was an adviser to Mr Karzai on tribal issues and was close to the president, a fellow Pashtun.

What other religion is there where you go to a funeral for a man that was just killed by radical Islamist reject, and see another radical Islamic reject set off his turban bomb killing the Cleric of the Second biggest Mosque in Afghanistan.

KABUL—A bomb blast ripped through a historic mosque in Kandahar, Afghanistan, on Thursday, killing the city's top Islamic cleric during a mourning ceremony for President Hamid Karzai's slain half-brother Ahmed Wali Karzai.
A suicide bomber slipped into the Red Mosque in Kandahar, Afghanistan's second largest city, detonating explosives concealed in his turban at about 12:15 p.m., witnesses and Afghan officials said. The blast killed Maulavi Hekmatullah Hekmat, the head of the Kandahar Ulema Council, the supreme government religious authority in the volatile southern province, and at least two other people.
At the time of the explosion, the mosque was filled with tribal leaders and government officials mourning Ahmed Wali Karzai, the provincial council chief who was assassinated on Tuesday by a security aide. Some 13 people inside the mosque were injured by the explosion, said Sediq Seddiqi, the Interior Ministry spokesman.
