North Korea may launch long-range missile in weeks

More of the same crap coming from North Korea , Another Long range missile launch coming soon !

SEOUL (Reuters) - North Korea may this month test a missile designed to
fly as far as U.S. territory and may also be gearing up for skirmishes
with the South around their disputed sea border, South Korean news
reports said on Monday.

North Korea is preparing to launch an intercontinental ballistic
missile (ICBM) with an estimated range of 2,500-4,000 miles from a west
coast base, the daily JoongAng Ilbo cited South Korean intelligence
sources as saying.

"Preparations for the launch are likely to be completed in mid-June," one intelligence source said.

Government officials would not confirm the reports.

Train cars carrying a missile left about two weeks ago for a missile base on the North's west coast, the sources said.

North Korea fires more rockets, says U.S.

North Korea is Definitely up to no good , the antagonistic stance they are taking will get them results , but
probably not the results they were hoping for !   I'm guessing there will be an onslaught of sanctions leveled against them !

SEOUL (Reuters) - North Korea, defiant in the face of international
condemnation of its latest nuclear test, fired two short-range missiles
off its east coast on Tuesday and accused the United States of plotting
against its government.

In a move certain to compound tensions in the region, South Korea
said it would join a U.S.-led initiative to intercept ships suspected
of carrying weapons of mass destruction, something Pyongyang has warned
it would consider a declaration of war.

South Korea's Yonhap news agency quoted a government source in Seoul
as saying the North had test-fired one surface-to-air and one
surface-to-ship missile off of its east coast. The missiles had a range
of about 130 km (80 miles).

The North fired off three short-range missiles on Monday.

Monday's nuclear test, the North's second after one in 2006, drew sharp rebuke from regional powers, and U.S. President Barack Obama called Pyongyang's atomic arms program a threat to international security.

North Korea threatens "strong steps" if U.N. acts

Whah , whah ,whah !  North Korea needs to quit whining , and just stop their B.S. campaign that is More about getting what they want ( Money and food aid to support their military ) Than being about Supposedly launching satellites !

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - North Korea warned the U.N. Security Council on Tuesday that it would take "strong steps" if the 15-nation body took any action in response to Pyongyang's launch of a long-range rocket.

"If the Security Council, they take any kind of steps whatever, we'll consider this is (an) encroachment on our sovereignty and the next option will be ours," Deputy Ambassador Pak Tok Hun told reporters. "Necessary and strong steps will ... follow that."

U.N. Security Council resolution banning the firing of such missiles by Pyongyang. The resolution was passed after a nuclear test by North Korea.

In a rare appearance before reporters at U.N. headquarters, Pak said criticism of the launch was undemocratic and any country was entitled to use outer space peacefully.

"It's not fair. It's not fair," he said. "While they themselves launch more than a hundred times the satellites ... we are not allowed to do that. That is not democratic.
