CAIRO — The man who pleaded guilty to carrying out the attempted Times Square car bombing vowed in a video recorded before the failed attack that he would strike the U.S. to avenge the deaths of Muslims killed by American forces.
The Dubai-based television station Al-Arabiya broadcast excerpts Wednesday of a 40-minute video featuring Faisal Shahzad that it said was released by the Pakistani Taliban. The station did not say how it got hold of the video.
In excerpts aired on Al-Arabiya, Shahzad is sitting on the ground in a black turban and military fatigues, with a gun next to him as he recites verses from the Quran.
He says he will carry out a "revenge attack" against the U.S. to avenge the deaths of Muslims killed in Afghanistan and Pakistan by the U.S., and that he hopes his actions will touch the hearts of Muslims.
Al-Arabiya said the full tape shows Shahzad meeting with a prominent Pakistani Taliban figure, Faqir Mohammed, the deputy leader of Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, along the Afghan border.
Shahzad was arrested days after the failed May 1 bombing in Times Square.

Shahzad Admits Trying to Bomb Times Square
Mr. Shahzad, 30 years old, told the courtroom he would plead guilty "100 times over" until the U.S. pulls its troops from Afghanistan and Pakistan and stops unmanned drone strikes against terror suspects. "I am part of the answer to the U.S. terrorizing the Muslim nations and the Muslim people, and on behalf of that, I'm avenging the attacks," Mr. Shahzad said.
Oh Goody , We have to look forward to more of these Wannabe Turd Farming Taliban Rejects ,Screwing up their Car Bombing attempts throughout the United States .
I mean , luckily this Jackass was unsuccessful in his attempt , but if he thinks His Failed attempt is the Muzzys "Answer" to the U.S. Blowing the Shit out of the Taliban with Hellfire Missiles , He truly is a Moron .
The Wall Street Journal
A Pakistani-born U.S. citizen, calling himself "a Muslim soldier" avenging U.S. attacks in Muslim countries, admitted Monday that he tried to detonate a crudely made car bomb in New York's Times Square in May.
Faisal Shahzad, of Shelton, Conn., pleaded guilty in federal court in Manhattan to a 10-count indictment that included charges of conspiracy to use a weapon of mass destruction, attempting an act of terrorism and transportation of an explosive. He faces life in prison when he is sentenced.
And Guaranteed , He will get it !

Details emerge of Pakistani Taliban's alleged role in Times Square bombing
So for a mere fifteen thousand dollars this Pakistani Taliban wannabe little bitch was willing to Kill who knows how many American's .
I say some serious Hellfire Missile Barrage's should be delivered to the Mohmand region of Pakistan in honor of Faisal Shazad's Little Jihad attempt !
The L.A. Times
Reporting from Washington
The main suspect in the attempted Times Square bombing received several days of training in Pakistan's Mohmand region and roughly $15,000 from the Pakistani Taliban to finance the attack, according to U.S. officials briefed on the case.
It appears likely that Faisal Shahzad, the Pakistani American accused of leaving a Nissan Pathfinder loaded with fertilizer and propane tanks in Times Square, came up with the idea of the car bomb himself, one official said. Shahzad then apparently persuaded the militant group to give him assistance when he traveled to Pakistan's border region in 2009 or early 2010.
"The targeting part of it was his," said one official briefed on the case, speaking on condition of anonymity. "But the guy was convincing enough to get resources."
The findings are part of a growing body of evidence that the Pakistani Taliban, known as Tehrik-e-Taliban, was deeply involved in the attempted bombing, the officials said, though they concede that key questions remain unanswered.
Investigators are still attempting to determine what role senior Pakistani Taliban leaders played in the operation.
