Dawn.com
UNITED NATIONS: Kings, emirs and presidents from Muslim nations have made pressing appeals to the United Nations for the West to clampdown on attacks on Islam which they warned is a growing threat to international security.

In speeches to the UN General Assembly, leaders said that “Islamophobia” was causing a growing Muslim-West divide and one top Arab minister put the international community on guard against a “civilization clash”.

A threat to burn the Koran by a fringe US church, controversy over a proposed mosque near the scene of the September 11, 2001 attacks in New York and assaults on Islamic symbols in European countries have been a major talking point for Muslim nations...

But Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the emir of Qatar, who has launched western-backed diplomatic initiatives to settle wars ranging from Sudan to the Israel-Palestian conflict, condemned attempts to link Islam with terrorism. He partly blamed the US “War on Terror” declared after September 11.

“We disagree with the attribution of this so-called terrorism to the Islamic religion because this — in addition to being incorrect — is a historical injustice that is refuted by evidence from recent history.”...

“We find the West, in general, being drawn into a clash with the Muslim world. This clash will serve no one except extremists and those who hold perverted ideas on both sides. It will not be in the interest of security and stability in the world.” Gheit called for western governments to take action, including passing laws.

“We call upon all countries and especially governments, to assume their responsibility to confront the specter of a dreadful religious and civilization clash.”
King Abdullah II of Jordan said it is “essential to resist forces of division that spread misunderstanding.” He called for an annual World Interfaith Harmony Week to promote tolerance.

Al-Qaeda terror plot targeting Europe uncovered

Al Qaida has been looking to commit some Jihad antics on Britain , France and even Germany .
More reason to Bring the Fight to these Ingrates before they can attack anybody else .

BBC
Intelligence agencies on both sides of the Atlantic are tracking one of the most serious al-Qaeda attack plans in recent years.

Inspired by al-Qaeda's fugitive core leadership in Pakistan's tribal areas, the plan is understood to include small well-armed commando-style teams of jihadist militants.

The idea is thought to have moved from the aspirational stage to actual planning.

Western security agencies may have been hoping to keep their knowledge of it out of the public spotlight for longer so criminal evidence could be gathered, but initial details were leaked to the US press

Iran says Bushehr nuclear plant not damaged by Stuxnet

And if they were ,Iran would still deny it !
If the Stuxnet Malware has affected the Nuclear power plants Computer systems at all , We will know in a few weeks when and if it goes online !

(Reuters) - A computer virus that experts said may have been created by a state did not affect Iran's nuclear plant or government systems, but did hit computers of staff at the plant and Internet providers, officials said on Sunday.

A senior official at U.S. technology company Symantec told Reuters on Friday that 60 percent of the computers worldwide infected by the so-called Stuxnet worm were in Iran, prompting speculation that the nuclear power plant may have been targeted in an attempt at sabotage or espionage.

Some Western cyber security companies suggested the attack could only have been conducted "with nation-state support," indicating industrial plants in the Islamic state were the target.

The head of the Bushehr nuclear power plant said the virus had only affected personal computers of staff.

"A team is inspecting several computers to remove the malware ... major systems of the plant have not been damaged," Mahmoud Jafari told the official IRNA news agency.

Oscar Osbaldo Ortiz Martinez, a Customs and Border Protection officer since 2008, allegedly took $22,000 in June for allowing a Jeep Cherokee that he believed was carrying cocaine to pass through his booth at the border crossing in downtown Calexico, about 120 miles east of San Diego.

Nick Clegg to denounce Mahmoud Ahmadinejad at UN

So once again Imalitlemunky spouts his ridiculous B.S. at the U.N. , It has become expected of the little Jackass .

The U.N. was less than half full to begin with , and the U.S. along with 30 some other countries walked out again !

It is an Unfortunate truth , that any world leader can go to the U.N. to say whatever they want , but a line has been being crossed repeatedly when the little Mullah Monkey stands up on his step stool to speak .

It would be nice to see more of the people that represent their countries at the U.N. openly speak out against this type of Insanity !

Guardian.co.uk
Nick Clegg will today issue a strong condemnation of the Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, telling the UN that his claims, made yesterday, that the US government was behind the 9/11 attacks on New York are "bizarre, offensive and attention-grabbing".

The deputy prime minister has added the comments to a speech he is to due to make to the UN general assembly after an international outcry over Ahmadinejad's comments to the same meeting yesterday.

Ahmadinejad accused the US government of orchestrating the 9/11 attacks to prop up Israel. Speaking just a few miles away from Ground Zero in New York, he prompted a walkout of the US and UK delegations from the chamber. US diplomats dismissed his comments as "abhorrent and delusional".

Clegg will say: "I was ready today to welcome the progress made in this week's meeting of the E3+3 group on Iran. I was ready to straightforwardly reiterate our concerns about Iran's nuclear programme. But instead, once again, an issue of grave global concern has been overshadowed by the bizarre, offensive and attention-grabbing pronouncements by President Ahmedinejad from this podium yesterday. His remarks were intended to distract attention from Iran's obligations and to generate media headlines. They deserve to do neither."

Big Bang Machine on the Verge of Breakthroughs

The beginnings of the Universe .

(AP) The $10 billion Big Bang machine under the Swiss-French border may be on the verge of its first scientific breakthroughs after appearing to produce a small amount of the matter that existed in the first moments of the universe, physicists said Wednesday.

Scientists say they are thrilled about a series of recent experiments with simple protons at the Large Hadron Collider, and that a wealth of new physics knowledge could be unearthed soon when the machine begins to smash more complicated nuclei into each other at nearly the speed of light.

Already, researchers at the European Organization for Nuclear Research, or CERN, and outside experts are hailing the new data. They say colliding particles seem to be creating "hot dense matter" that would have existed microseconds after the Big Bang and might hold the key for understanding how the liquids, gases and solids of our universe were created.

Iran signals interest in talks on nuclear program

Tehran will soon formally agree to resume talks.

Soon?

Maybe right after Iran's Nuclear power plant goes online , or after Iran finishes building it's secret but not so secret anymore Uranium enrichment sites !

Washington post
UNITED NATIONS - Iran increasingly appears willing to enter into negotiations in the near future over its nuclear program, diplomats close to the talks said Wednesday, a move that would restart a process that ended abruptly last fall.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad this week expressed public interest in renewing talks with the United States and other major powers. Iranian officials have privately echoed that sentiment in conversations with diplomats on the sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly, leading officials to believe Tehran will soon formally agree to resume talks.

Yep it is that time of year again , you know when the U.N. has it's little get down with the world leaders and allows some of the Biggest efing idiots out of that bunch a platform to spout their insane Bullshit !

Iranian Pres Imalitlemunkey , really enjoys himself at these gatherings , I'm just glad he allowed to make it clear once again , that the West is bad and that Iran is destined to rule the world .

Foxnews
Before a sparse audience, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad used 10 minutes on the world stage Tuesday to declare capitalism near death while urging world leaders to "spare no effort" in starting to plan for a new world order.

The Iranian president reserved his most pointed language to condemn "unjust government structures" and "transnational corporations," which he blamed for "suffering" around the world. But the brief address was most notable for its lack of fiery rhetoric aimed at the United States and its allies over Tehran's nuclear program.

Oh yeah the Jews are bad and Iran does not want Nuclear weapons , Move along .

Extremist websites skyrocketing, says Interpol

Anyone who has been paying any attention , has known this for years .

It is just amazing that Interpol has waited so long to come out with the News themselves .

The Jawa Report

BBC
The sharp growth in extremist websites is making recruitment much easier for al-Qaeda, according to Interpol head Ronald Noble.

"The threat is global, it is virtual and it is on our doorsteps," he said.

Mr Noble told a conference of police chiefs in Paris there were 12 sites in 1998 and 4,500 by 2006.

He said tackling radicalisation had been made far harder by the internet because many of the activities involved were not criminal.

As soon as you knock out one, another pops up. It's like playing 'whack-a-mole'”

Increasingly, he said, the individuals targeted were young and vulnerable and from middle-class backgrounds.

FBI Says It Supplied Fake Bomb in Chicago Plot

So why do some people still scream Islamaphobia ?

foxnews
CHICAGO -- A man arrested for allegedly placing a backpack he thought contained a bomb near Chicago's Wrigley Field got the fake explosive from an FBI undercover agent, authorities say -- a tactic that has been used in other U.S. terrorism cases in recent years.

Sami Samir Hassoun, 22, a Lebanese citizen living in Chicago for about three years, was charged Monday with one count each of attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction and attempted use of an explosive device.
