Pakistan Taliban deny leader Hakimullah killed

Of course they deny his death , it is their Duty to lie About everything .
I have this Vision of a Taliban Style "Weekend at Bernie's" stuck in my head though !

PESHAWAR, Pakistan (reuters) - Pakistan's Taliban denied a report on Sunday that their leader Hakimullah Mehsud had been killed in a U.S. drone aircraft strike.

"It is a total lie," a spokesman for the group told Reuters by telephone from northwest Pakistan, referring to a report on Pakistani state television.

Pakistan's military said earlier it was investigating the report that Hakimullah died from wounds sustained in a drone attack and had been buried in the Orakzai tribal region in the northwest of the country.

"We're inquiring further but so far there's no confirmation," said army spokesman Major General Athar Abbas.

Hakimullah's death would likely create disarray in Pakistan's al Qaeda-linked Taliban, analysts say, but it would not deal a major long-term blow to the group, which is fighting to topple the pro-American government.

State television did not give dates for the drone attack.

Pakistani intelligence officials said they had received unconfirmed reports that Hakimullah, the number one enemy of the Pakistani state, may have died of wounds after a drone strike on two vehicles carrying militants in North Waziristan on January 17, days after surviving a similar attack.

Hakimullah appeared in a farewell video with the suicide bomber double agent who killed seven CIA employees in Afghanistan on December 30.

Yemen rebels say they accept truce terms

Qur'an 9:3
"Allah and His Messenger dissolve obligations."

Bukhari:V4B52N268
"Allah's Apostle said, 'War is deceit.'"

Qur'an 92:8
"We will make smooth for him the path to misery."

Just a few reminders of why to watch your Ass when it comes to dealing with Islamic Radicals

SANAA (Reuters) - Yemen's Shi'ite northern rebels accept the government's terms for a ceasefire, their leader said on Saturday, but there was no immediate response from the authorities.

Yemen, facing insurgency in the north and secessionists in the south, has been under international scrutiny since the Yemeni arm of al Qaeda claimed responsibility for an abortive bid to blow up a U.S.-bound plane with 300 people on board.

"In order to avoid ... the annihilation of civilians, we reiterate our acceptance of the five points" for a ceasefire, rebel leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi said in an audio recording posted on the Internet. "The ball is now in the court of the other side."

Yemen, the Arab world's poorest country, has been battling the intermittent revolt since 2004. The fighting intensified in August when the army launched a major offensive named Operation Scorched Earth, and the conflict drew in Saudi Arabia in November when the rebels seized some territory on its border.

Government conditions include removal of rebel checkpoints, withdrawal of forces and clarification of the fate of kidnapped foreigners. The rebels must return captured military and civilian equipment and not enter local politics.

Britain hosted talks in London this week to try to prevent Yemen becoming a failed state after the abortive December 25 attack on a plane approaching Detroit drove home how al Qaeda could threaten Western interests from Yemen.

Western powers, neighbors and financial institutions pledged to support and help finance Yemen's efforts to impose law, order and stability.

NATO troops clash with Afghan allies

A friendly Fire incident ?

SALAR, Afghanistan (Reuters) - NATO troops clashed with their Afghan allies in a so-called "friendly fire" incident on Saturday, calling in air strikes that killed four Afghan soldiers and stoked anger among villagers.

The clashes took place hours after an apparently disgruntled interpreter shot dead two U.S. soldiers at a nearby base. The incidents, although not apparently linked, highlighted the fraught relationship between Western forces and their Afghan hosts.

NATO and Afghan officials tried to head off tension by announcing a joint investigation into how their troops ended up battling each other in Wardak province, southwest of Kabul.

"Four army soldiers were killed and six wounded when a foreign forces air strike hit their post," said Shahedullah Shahed, spokesman for Wardak's governor. "We don't know why it happened, but it is deeply regrettable."

He said the strike had targeted an Afghan Army outpost that had been newly established. Foreign forces and Afghan troops were both separately conducting overnight operations when they started shooting at each other, he said.

The NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) said its troops had come under fire and called in air strikes, without realizing they were engaging Afghan security forces.

"Initial post-operational reports indicate the small arms fire originated from an Afghan National Army (ANA) combat outpost and the subsequent air support called in by the joint force likely killed at least four ANA soldiers," a statement said.

"We work extremely hard to coordinate and synchronize our operations," said Canadian Brigadier-General Eric Tremblay, the force's main spokesman. "This is a regrettable incident and our thoughts go out to the families of those killed and wounded."

Hours earlier, an interpreter opened fire at a base in the same province, shooting dead two U.S. soldiers before he was killed, two U.S. military officials said, under condition they not be named because details had yet to be officially released.

"Initial indications are this was a case of a disgruntled employee" rather than an insurgent attack, one of the U.S. officials said. An Afghan provincial official confirmed the account, saying the interpreter had argued with troops over pay.

Taliban squad seizes hotel in Helmand

The Taliban slipped right into Helmand unnoticed , and took on the Afghan National Army , Right next door ?
Result , One dead Civilian , Five dead Taliban , one brand new slightly shot up Hotel !

Telegraph.co.uk
A Taliban suicide squad seized a hotel in Helmand on Friday, triggering gun battles with security forces in the capital of the British-garrisoned province.

Just a day after London's summit on Afghanistan, gunmen wearing suicide vests occupied the unfinished hotel yards from the governors' offices and around two miles from the headquarters of British military and aid efforts in Afghanistan.

British helicopters and troops supported Afghan forces as they fought for hours. The battle came the day after international agreement was reached to set up a trust fund to coax away moderate Taliban fighters.

It has also been disclosed that the leader of the United Nations mission in Afghanistan recently met Taliban representatives for "talks about talks" before the conference in London. But on the ground, such initiatives are hard to discern. Fighting broke out at around 9.45am (5.15am GMT) when insurgents seized the unoccupied Best Hotel, next to the Afghan National Army's Sharwali barracks on the western outskirts of Lashkar Gah. Two rockets were also fired into the area.

Haji Abdul Satar Mirzakwal, deputy governor, said intelligence reports had suggested an attack had been imminent and the attackers were disguised in police and army uniforms. Helicopters had fired on the building and the deputy governor said one civilian had been killed and seven wounded.

Afghan forces took eight hours to regain control of the hotel and said they had killed five insurgents in the battle.

Outsourcing is the way to go for NASA , they have been doing it for years (With American Companies )
For NASA to Accomplish this within A "Government" Structure , it Total Well over the Amount for the Obamacare Plan !

Jan. 28 (Bloomberg) -- NASA would receive a $6 billion boost in funding over five years to spur companies to develop rockets capable of taking astronauts to the International Space Station, an administration official said.

In total, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration would receive $100 billion over five years under President Barack Obama’s fiscal year 2011 budget, the official said.

“My initial impression is that this is a real significant indication of support for NASA in a time of tight budgets,” said former astronaut Sally Ride in an interview.

And yet again the Norks are acting like Jackass's to get their way .
Nothing new .

SEOUL (Reuters) - North Korea fired several artillery rounds on Thursday in the direction of a South Korean island off the peninsula, a second day of shooting near a disputed sea border that has been the site of deadly clashes in the past.

Rounds landed on the North's side of the disputed maritime border off the west coast of the rival states, a Defense Ministry official said. The South did not return fire.

Some analysts said the North may be trying to provoke tension with U.S. military ally South Korea to drive home its demand for talks with Washington to reach a peace treaty to replace the armistice that halted the 1950-53 Korean War.

The two Koreas remain technically at war and share one of the world's most militarized borders.

North Korea has declared a no-sail zone in the Yellow Sea waters for two months ending in late March, a sign it might be preparing to fire artillery or test launch missiles.

"They were firing at their side of the border and unlike yesterday we did not have clear visual confirmation," the defense official said asking not to be named.

Two Koreas trade fire, spooks markets

And now North Korea starts to get Testy .
Little Kimmie must be getting Desperate .

SEOUL (Reuters) - North and South Korea exchanged artillery fire near their disputed sea border on Wednesday, the second time in three months the rivals have clashed and briefly sending prices down on jittery Seoul financial markets.

Analysts doubted the latest clash would escalate and saw it more as an attempt by Pyongyang to stress the instability on the Korean peninsula and press home its demand for a peace deal that would open the way to international aid for its ruined economy.

South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said the North fired artillery shots from land toward the South but landing on its side of the disputed sea border off the west coast.

South Korea returned fire from its coastal artillery.

The presidential Blue House said both sides fired into the air and there were no casualties, according to Yonhap, adding it had called a meeting of top national security officials.

North Korean state media made no comment on the incident.

Earlier this week it accused the South of declaring war by saying it would launch a pre-emptive strike if it had clear signs the North was preparing a nuclear attack.

North Korea may be readying missile test: report

Just File this one under " Here we go Again ! "

SEOUL (Reuters) - North Korea has declared a no-sail zone off its west coast, indicating it may be readying to test-launch missiles in the area, South Korean news broadcaster YTN on Tuesday quoted a military official as saying.

The area is near a contested sea border with the South that was the site of a brief naval clash in November between the states, technically still at war, that left a South Korean ship pockmarked with bullet holes and a North Korean vessel limping back to port in flames.

About a month before that clash, North Korea rattled regional security by firing short-range missiles off its east coast.

"We are closely monitoring the area to inspect whether this announcement was made as a part of their winter training or to launch short-range missiles," the unnamed official told YTN.

South Korean military officials said they were checking on the YTN report.

Destitute North Korea in recent weeks has signaled that it is ready to reduce the security threat it poses to economically vital North Asia by saying it could end its year-long boycott of international nuclear disarmament talks

So seeing as how they would like to get back to talks ( ? ) It's time for them to launch a few missiles ?

Saddam's Notorious Cousin, 'Chemical Ali,' Executed

Bye , Bye , SonofaBitch !

Foxnews
BAGHDAD — A notorious cousin of Saddam Hussein has been executed, about a week after receiving his fourth death sentence for crimes against humanity.

Iraq says the man known as "Chemical Ali" was hanged today for ordering the 1988 poison gas attack that killed more than 5,000 Kurds.

The chemical air raid is thought to be the worst single attack of its kind against civilians.

The general, whose name was Ali Hassan al-Majid, was one of the most brutal members of Saddam's inner circle. He led sweeping military campaigns in the 1980s and 1990s that claimed tens of thousands of lives.

His attacks against rebellious Kurds wiped out entire villages. He also led bloody crackdowns on Shiites in southern Iraq, including the suppression of a 1991 uprising which also involved the use of poisonous gas.

He also ordered the deaths of several relatives.

Yes , That was SonofaBitch !

Senators Urge Administration to Transfer Alleged Bomber to Military Custody

"Though the president has said repeatedly that we are at war, it does not appear to us that the president's words are reflected in the actions of some in the executive branch, including some at the Department of Justice,"

It's Disgusting when you look at it that way .
But that is how it seems , it appears that some people , In and around this Administration are in a big hurry to give all the rights of an American citizen , to Members of Al Qaida and their sympathizers !
Who came here to do us HARM !

Two top senators urged the Obama administration on Monday to transfer the suspect in the failed Christmas Day airline bombing to the Pentagon, blasting the Justice Department for reading him his Miranda rights and treating him like a common criminal.

Citing reports that Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab was "speaking openly about the attack" and Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula's involvement in it before he was read his Miranda rights, Sens. Joe Lieberman and Susan Collins said that reading the suspect his rights shortly after his arrest was an opportunity lost.

Lieberman, I-Conn., chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, and Collins, R-Maine, the committee's ranking Republican, said officials would be able to continue interrogating Abdulmutallab and try him before a military commission if they treat him as an enemy combatant.

"The decision to treat Abdulmutallab as a criminal rather than (an unprivileged enemy belligerent) almost certainly prevented the military and the intelligence community from obtaining information that would have been critical to learning more about how our enemy operates and to preventing future attacks," the senators wrote in a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder and counterterrorism adviser John Brennan.

"Though the president has said repeatedly that we are at war, it does not appear to us that the president's words are reflected in the actions of some in the executive branch, including some at the Department of Justice," they wrote.

Bin Laden claims responsibility for U.S. plane attack

Go Figure IF true then it is just another reason to Find Him and riddle his body With Bullets .

DUBAI (Reuters) - Osama bin Laden claimed responsibility for the December 25 failed bombing of a U.S.-bound plane and promised more attacks on the United States, in an audio tape Al Jazeera said on Sunday was of the Al Qaeda leader.

Bin Laden, speaking days ahead of major international meetings on how to deal with militancy in Afghanistan and Yemen, said the attempt to blow up the plane as it neared Detroit was a continuation of al Qaeda policy since September 11, 2001.

"The message sent to you with the attempt by the hero Nigerian Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab is a confirmation of our previous message conveyed by the heroes of September 11," bin Laden said on the tape in a message addressed "from Osama to (U.S. President Barack) Obama."

"If it was possible to carry our messages to you by words, we wouldn't have carried them to you by planes," bin Laden said.

The botched Christmas Day attack, claimed last month by the Yemen-based regional wing of al Qaeda, and subsequent threats in Yemen sparked global pressure for a crackdown, prompting Sanaa to declare open war on the militant group within its territory.

Defense and counterterrorism officials say Washington has been quietly supplying military equipment, intelligence and training to Yemen to destroy suspected al Qaeda hide-outs.

Yemen, since the plane bomb attempt, has launched a series of air strikes targeting al Qaeda leaders and has declared that some top regional leaders including Qasim al-Raymi and Ayed al-Shabwani have been killed.

Al Qaeda denies the deaths, and Yemen has subsequently launched further attacks on the rural home of Shabwani and given no clues as to the result.

On Sunday's tape, bin Laden cited Washington's support for Israel as a motivator for more attacks on the United States, and vowed to keep on as long as Palestinians cannot live in peace.

Whatever !

"Our attacks against you will continue as long as U.S. support for Israel continues," he said. "It is not fair that Americans should live in peace as long as our brothers in Gaza live in the worst conditions."

Maybe , your Brothers in Gaza should wake up and join Humanity then !
After that maybe they can Elevate themselves out of Poverty and get over their crazy Jihad ways !

Bodies pulled from wells after Nigeria clashes

What insanity .
Ethnic Issues turned these people into Nothing more than a Pack of Rabid Dogs!

JOS, Nigeria (Reuters) - Mosque and government officials have pulled more bodies from wells and sewage pits in a village near the Nigerian city of Jos, victims of what Human Rights Watch said appeared to have been a targeted massacre.

Four days of clashes between Christian and Muslim mobs armed with guns, knives and machetes killed hundreds of people in Jos and surrounding communities this week before Vice President Goodluck Jonathan deployed the military to contain the violence.

Muhammad Tanko Shittu, a senior mosque official organizing mass burials in Jos, told Reuters on Saturday he had just returned from Kuru Jantar, a village also known as Kuru Karama or Kuru Gada Biu, where more than 200 bodies had been found.

"So many bodies were dumped into wells and were littered around, others were being evacuated by the federal authorities," he said. Both Shittu and Red Cross officials said they were still counting bodies and could not yet give an overall toll.

Some estimates have put the death toll at more than 400, although official figures have been much lower.

U.S.-based Human Rights Watch said groups of armed men attacked the mostly Muslim population of Kuru Karama on January 19, burning some alive and killing others as they tried to flee. It urged Jonathan to order an investigation of "credible reports of a massacre of at least 150 Muslim residents."

"They were armed with cutlasses, guns, sticks and bags of stone. It was not the Christians from our community but those from outside who came," one 32-year-old resident of Kuru Karama, who was not named, told Human Rights Watch.

"The children were running helter-skelter. The men were trying to protect the women. People who ran into the bush were killed. Some were burned in the mosque and some went to the houses and were burned," he said.

He said he had seen the bodies of 20-30 children, some burned, some sliced with machetes, and that his wife was in hospital with an 11-month-old girl who had been cut with an axe.

"I came back on Wednesday evening escorted by the military. I saw dead bodies everywhere. The corpses were there, but now you can just see the blood on the ground. None of the houses are standing," he said.

What can you Do ?

U.N. Climate Change Expert Cites More Errors in Report

Foxnews
The Indian head of the U.N. climate change panel defended his position Friday even as further errors were identified in the panel's assessment of Himalayan glaciers.

Dr. Rajendra Pachauri dismissed calls for him to resign over the Inter-governmental Panel on Climate Change’s retraction of a prediction that Himalayan glaciers could disappear by 2035.

But he admitted that there may have been other errors in the same section of the report, and said that he was considering whether to take action against those responsible.

“I know a lot of climate sceptics are after my blood, but I’m in no mood to oblige them,” he told The Times of London in an interview. “It was a collective failure by a number of people,” he said. “I need to consider what action to take, but that will take several weeks. It’s best to think with a cool head, rather than shoot from the hip.”
The IPCC’s 2007 report, which won it the Nobel Peace Prize, said that the probability of Himalayan glaciers “disappearing by the year 2035 and perhaps sooner is very high."

But it emerged last week that the forecast was based not on a consensus among climate change experts, but on a media interview with a single Indian glaciologist in 1999.

The IPCC admitted on Thursday that the prediction was “poorly substantiated” in the latest of a series of blows to the panel’s credibility.

Poorly substantiated , how about an outright Lie !

From spas to banks, Mexico economy rides on drugs

A very bleak outlook for Mexico , When they make more in Drug Money , than they do in the countries #1 export of Oil , (25 to 40 Billion a year , and a large portion of this goes to improving every aspect of Life in Mexico )

You can pretty much say Mexico will never change !

ZAPOPAN, Mexico (Reuters) - At a modern factory in a city whose main claim to fame is an image of the Virgin Mary revered for granting miracles, Mexican pharmaceuticals firm Grupo Collins churns out antibiotics and other medicines.

But the United States contends that the company in Zapopan is not what it seems. The U.S. Treasury put Grupo Collins on a black list in 2008, saying the firm supplies a small drug cartel in western Mexico with chemicals needed to make methamphetamines.

Grupo Collins, which has denied any connection to organized crime, is one of dozens under suspicion of laundering money for the nation's booming drug business, whose growing economic impact now pervades just about every level of Mexican life.

Mexican cartels, which control most of the cocaine and methamphetamine smuggled into the United States, bring an estimated $25 billion to $40 billion into Mexico from their global operations every year.

To put that in perspective: Mexico probably made more money in 2009 moving drugs than it did exporting oil, its single biggest legitimate foreign currency earner.

From the white Caribbean beaches of Cancun to violent towns on the U.S. border and the beauty parlors of Mexico City's wealthy suburbs, drug cash is everywhere in Mexico. It has even propped up the country's banking system, helping it ride out the financial crisis and aiding the country's economy.

Smuggled into Mexico mostly from the United States in $100 bills, narco money finds its way onto the books of restaurants, construction firms and bars as drug lords try to legitimize their cash and prevent police from tracing it.

"Mexico is saturated with this money," said George Friedman, who heads geopolitical analysis firm Stratfor.

In western Mexico, drug money started pouring into Zapopan and nearby Guadalajara in the 1980s as the Sinaloa cartel bought hospitals and real estate, said Martin Barron, a researcher at the institute that trains Mexico's organized crime prosecutors.

Now residents in the region known in Mexico for its piety say drug smugglers barely make an effort to disguise themselves.

Al Qaeda In Your Backyard?

“It’s bad for the neighborhood, it’s not going to be safe, it’s going to increase the terrorist threat,” said Board Member Marc Amersuo. “I just hope that common sense and compassion for our neighbors trumps the ideology of still wanting to get George Bush.”

This all seems like a really bad Joke !

Foxnews
Would you want Khalid Sheikh Mohammed living in your backyard?

How about the accused mastermind of 9/11 and his four alleged cohorts spending their time just yards from your back door?

That, essentially, is what the residents of the New York City apartment building Chatham Towers face. Their 240 apartments are just yards from the Federal Courthouse in lower Manhattan where the Obama administration plans to try the terror suspects in civilian court. In fact, by my measurement, the corner of the courthouse at one point is a mere 30 feet from the corner of the apartment complex. The buildings are so close, you can look right into the windows of the courthouse “and see them eating lunch,” as one resident put it.

The people who live here are outraged at the White House decision and are urging the administration to move the trials.

“People’s lives are going to be altered, this is going to be a federal armed camp,” resident Jeanie Chin told Fox News. “I hope that President Obama will reconsider when he understands that densely packed residential buildings surround the court.”

Fox News visited a couple of apartments and we could clearly see the goings on inside the courthouse with the naked eye. The windows are so close, that we could view whom we presumed to be Assistant United States Attorneys going about their work on federal criminal cases, administrative assistants using the copying machine, and people working on their desktop computers and drinking coffee. We could also view lawyers and others in what appears to be a federal courtroom. At one point, people inside a courthouse office even waved back.

WTF?

Air America Radio Closing, Filing for Bankruptcy

Ha Ha Ha Ha , oh man , is this Hilarious !
Besides the fact that Al Franken is one extremely huge Douche , Air America was doomed from the Start .
Who wants to listen to a couple of libtards tell everyone how stupid they are and that they have the answer for us , and they will show us how , even if we don't like it ! NO One Wants to here whiny ass bitches on the radio !

abcNews
Air America Radio, a progressive radio network that once aired commentary from Al Franken and Rachel Maddow, said Thursday it is shutting down immediately.

The company founded in April 2004 said it ceased airing new programs Thursday afternoon and will soon file to be liquidated under Chapter 7 bankruptcy. It began broadcasting reruns of programs and would end those as well Monday night.

Air America said 10 consecutive quarters of declining ad revenue and the difficulty of making money on the Internet contributed to its financial woes.

"The very difficult economic environment has had a significant impact on Air America's business. This past year has seen a `perfect storm' in the media industry generally," the company said in a statement on its Web site.

Economics ? O.K. I will give them that , but 10 Consecutive quarters of decline , sounds to me like the station and it's programming / Agenda , just plain sucked !

The network had some 100 radio outlets nationwide.

Franken, a Democrat, hosted his own show from 2004 to 2007 before going on to become a U.S. senator from Minnesota last year after a close election. Maddow went on to host her own TV show on MSNBC.

Judge to ex-mayor: Time to pay the piper

Oh Kwame !
serves this jackass right , he like a few mayors before him , was nothing but a crook , a thief and a big fat thug Who thought he could get away with everything .
With all he has done he should gladly pay the 1 million , it would be better than the 9 million he paid out in bribes !

the Freep
It's called a do-over. A mulligan. An oops-let's-try-this-again play.
The mistake the court made last February was trusting former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick to get out of jail, move to Texas and begin paying the city the $1 million he owed in restitution. (The prosecutor didn't trust him, but that's Kym Worthy's job. After all, she got him convicted of perjury.)

All Judge David Groner did Wednesday was treat Kilpatrick like the convicted felon he is. Groner made clear that Kilpatrick could not be trusted. He made clear that the last bit of special treatment Kilpatrick got, whenever it was, was the last special treatment he would get.

And as nice as Groner was to Kilpatrick's attorney, uber-barrister Willie Gary, and as patient as Groner was sitting through endless irrelevant testimony about how Kilpatrick and his wife spent money, Groner's bottom line was: "Let's count the money" that should have gone to the city.

The tally? More than $319,000 -- now due in 90 days. Groner also made clear that the former mayor will pay the city all of the discount restitution he owes, stemming from an $8.4-million whistle-blower lawsuit settlement that never should have happened.

You will get no more details here. Groner's comments will be all over this newspaper, our Web site and television.

But what you will get here is a sigh of relief that Groner did what should have been done in the first place. When a politician becomes a felon, he is no longer a politician. He is no longer royalty. He is no longer to be afforded a wink and a nod. The former mayor now has deadlines. And he has duties. He must reach out and touch his probation officer in Michigan, instead of Texas, by phone every week.

Kilpatrick walked into the courthouse as the arrogant young politician, still acting like da mayor. He walked out, a convicted felon with no more special privileges. It was a fitting irony that he found no car waiting at the sidewalk and had to walk back inside to wait for a ride to the airport.

If Kilpatrick had just paid the restitution, all of it, a year ago, instead of flaunting his luxurious lifestyle in Texas (the mansion, the SUVs, the hundreds of dollars spent at car washes and Chick-fil-A), Detroit might already have been a distant memory for him. If Kilpatrick truly wants Detroit to leave him alone, then he should leave Detroit alone.

Maybe now, he'll just write the check.

Anti-Islamic Dutch Lawmaker Faces Hate Speech Trial

Go get em Geert !
let's hope we see Mr. Wilders walk away from this unscathed .
Foxnews
NEW YORK — Supporters of Dutch anti-Islam politician Geert Wilders are demonstrating outside an Amsterdam court where he is appearing to answer charges of inciting hate against the Netherlands' Muslim minority.

Wilders' lawyer Bram Moszkowicz has challenged the court's jurisdiction and argued the case against his client is unfounded.

Wilders has been charged over remarks comparing the Quran to Hitler's "Mein Kampf" and calling for it to be banned in the Netherlands. He has become one of the country's leading politicians by giving a voice to anti-immigrant sentiment.

Presiding Judge Jan Moors assured Wilders on Wednesday he would receive a fair trial.

Supporters outside the court said Wilders' prosecution is an assault on freedom of speech.

World misled over Himalayan glacier meltdown

The report read: "Glaciers in the Himalaya are receding faster than in any other part of the world and, if the present rate continues, the likelihood of them disappearing by the year 2035 and perhaps sooner is very high if the Earth keeps warming at the current rate."

The World has been misled !
Now what does Al Gore have to say ?

Just another nail in the coffin of Global Warming .

Timesonline
A WARNING that climate change will melt most of the Himalayan glaciers by 2035 is likely to be retracted after a series of scientific blunders by the United Nations body that issued it.

Two years ago the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) issued a benchmark report that was claimed to incorporate the latest and most detailed research into the impact of global warming. A central claim was the world's glaciers were melting so fast that those in the Himalayas could vanish by 2035.

In the past few days the scientists behind the warning have admitted that it was based on a news story in the New Scientist, a popular science journal, published eight years before the IPCC's 2007 report.

It has also emerged that the New Scientist report was itself based on a short telephone interview with Syed Hasnain, a little-known Indian scientist then based at Jawaharlal Nehru University in Delhi.

Hasnain has since admitted that the claim was "speculation" and was not supported by any formal research. If confirmed it would be one of the most serious failures yet seen in climate research. The IPCC was set up precisely to ensure that world leaders had the best possible scientific advice on climate change.

U.N. Security Council sanctions al Qaeda's Yemen wing

Not that it will do any good , but it is what it is , just a bunch of words !
It will take serious actions on the part of every country threatened by Islamic Militants to defeat and beat back the plague that is radical Islam .
Have we not already learned that sanctions mean nothing unless you enforce them !

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - A U.N. Security Council sanctions committee on Tuesday added al Qaeda's Yemen-based wing and two of its leaders to a U.N. blacklist, which U.S. envoy Susan Rice said would help efforts to weaken the group.

Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) and its two leaders, Nasser al-Wahayshi and Qasim al-Raymi, who were among 23 militants who escaped from a Sanaa jail in 2006, now face mandatory global asset-freezes and travel bans, she said.

"Today's actions strengthen international efforts to degrade the capabilities of AQAP," said Rice, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.

The Security Council committee's move followed a U.S. Department of Treasury decision to subject the group and its two leaders to U.S. sanctions.

AQAP, which claimed responsibility for a failed December 25 attempt to blow up a U.S. airliner, emerged a year ago after a merger of al Qaeda's wings in Yemen and Saudi Arabia. Wahayshi was once Osama bin Laden's secretary.

The group espouses a militant Sunni Islamist ideology that makes violent jihad an obligation for all Muslims. It has threatened attacks on Westerners to cleanse the Arabian peninsula of "infidels" and seeks the fall of the U.S.-allied royal family in oil superpower Saudi Arabia.

The group also wants to weaken or destroy Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh's government to create safe havens in Yemen from which to launch attacks anywhere from Saudi Arabia to the United States.

The news that is not White House approved...

You may remember that Nebraska Senator Ben Nelson cast the decisive vote in favor of a government health care takeover after, of course, securing a bundle of money for his home state.

Now it appears that that did not win him any friends in conservative Nebraska. Politico.com reports that Thursday night he and his wife were booed out of an Omaha pizzeria by angry customers who apparently yelled things like, "Get him out of here!"

There may be no consequences in D.C., but it's good to see that the good folks in the Midwest know how to hold their representatives accountable.

"Toronto 18" mastermind gets life for bomb plot

His sentence includes a life term for the first charge, and a nine-year term for the second, the federal prosecutor's office said in a statement. Given credit for time already served, he will be eligible for parole in just over six years.

Eligible for parole in Six Years? WTF ?

That's nuts , Hopefully that is a Misprint ? And the Canadian Judicial System is not that messed up .

TORONTO (Reuters) - Zakaria Amara, considered the ringleader of the "Toronto 18" extremist Muslim group that planned al Qaeda-style bombings of Toronto landmarks in 2006, was given a life sentence on Monday, the stiffest penalty yet imposed under Canadian anti-terrorism laws.

The sentence, handed down in a Toronto-area court, is the fourth custodial term handed out in the sprawling case, and follows a 12-year sentence given earlier in the day to admitted co-conspirator Saad Gaya.

Amara, 24, pleaded guilty in October to charges of planning explosions likely to cause serious bodily harm or death and of participating in the activities of a terrorist group.

His sentence includes a life term for the first charge, and a nine-year term for the second, the federal prosecutor's office said in a statement. Given credit for time already served, he will be eligible for parole in just over six years.

Prosecutors say Amara was the leader of a group that had planned to detonate truck bombs near targets such as the Toronto Stock Exchange, the CN Tower, an Ontario military base and the Toronto offices of the national spy agency. The aim was to force Canada to withdraw troops from Afghanistan.

In reading the decision, Ontario Superior Court Bruce Durno said the crime envisioned by Amara would have been one of the most horrific in Canadian history, media reported.

Earlier in his sentencing hearing, Amara renounced his extremist views and said his interpretation of Islam was "naive and gullible."

Kabul "under control" after brazen Taliban assault

How does Karzais New Cabinet members feel , now that the Taliban have attempted to " Disrupt " the swearing in cerimonies ( Attempted to kill them ) ?
And all those pesky shoppers got what they deserved again , They Can't just go around Shopping and having a decent time , when the Talibanz is fighting for the sake of Allah , I mean seriously ! (Sarcoff)

KABUL (Reuters) - Taliban gunmen launched a brazen assault on targets in the center of Kabul on Monday, With suicide bombers blowing themselves up at several locations and heavily armed militants fighting a pitched battle in a shopping center.

The insurgents failed in an apparent attempt to seize government buildings, but demonstrated their ability to cause mayhem at a time when U.S. President Barack Obama is trying to rally support for an expanded military mission to fight them.

It was the worst attack on the city in nearly a year. Gunfire and loud explosions shook the city and a huge column of smoke towered over its center, pouring out of the shopping center where gunmen battled security forces for hours.

After more than four hours of gunbattles, President Hamid Karzai said in a statement that "the security situation is under control and order has once again been restored."

The Taliban said 20 of their fighters were involved in the attacks, which they said targeted the presidential palace, justice ministry, ministry of mines and a presidential administrative building, all clustered in the center of town.

When the attacks began outside Karzai's sprawling palace compound, he was inside swearing in new members of his cabinet.

"As we were conducting the ceremony of swearing in, a terrorist attack in a part of Kabul close to the presidential palace is going on. This is just one of the dangers," Karzai told ministers. "The danger that could harm Afghanistan is sowing national discord among Afghans."

U.S. envoy to the region Richard Holbrooke, who had left Kabul hours earlier for New Delhi, said: "The people who are doing this certainly will not survive the attack nor will they succeed, but we can expect this sort of a thing on a regular basis. That is who the Taliban are."

Suspected U.S. Missile Strike Kills 20 in Pakistan

Excellent !

MIR ALI, Pakistan — At least one suspected U.S. drone fired on a house in Pakistan's volatile tribal region Sunday, killing 20 people in the 11th such attack since militants in the area orchestrated a deadly homicide bombing against the CIA in Afghanistan, intelligence officials said.

Four missiles slammed into the house in the Shaktoi area of South Waziristan, the same region where a drone strike Thursday targeted a meeting of militant commanders in an apparently unsuccessful attempt to kill Pakistani Taliban chief Hakimullah Mehsud.

Venezuela's Chavez nationalizes French-owned retailer

Oh Hugo !
What an ass this guy is , Yeah we want to occupy Haiti !
What we have is a Humanitarian disaster , We the U.S. coming to help out , along with a lot of other countries !
Then we have the People of Haiti , theirs lives have been changed dramatically in the past week , and they are getting Desperate , So Desperate that Quite a Few of them are running the streets armed and willing to kill for food !
We must protect our people in order to distribute the food and medicine once it gets there , so that OUR people are not killed in a Stampede !
We have done this before Hugo , We Know what we are doing !
You just sit on your fat ass and take over your country !

CARACAS (Reuters) - Venezuela's President Hugo Chavez on Sunday accused the United States of using the earthquake in Haiti as a pretext to occupy the devastated Caribbean country and offered to send fuel from his OPEC nation.

"I read that 3,000 soldiers are arriving, Marines armed as if they were going to war. There is not a shortage of guns there, my God. Doctors, medicine, fuel, field hospitals, that's what the United States should send," Chavez said on his weekly television show. "They are occupying Haiti undercover."

"On top of that, you don't see them in the streets. Are they picking up bodies? ... Are they looking for the injured? You don't see them. I haven't seen them. Where are they?"

Chavez promised to send as much gasoline as Haiti needs for electricity generation and transport.

A perennial foe of U.S. "imperialism," Chavez said he did not wish to diminish the humanitarian effort made by the United States and was only questioning the need for so many troops.

The United States is sending more than 5,000 Marines and soldiers to Haiti, and a hospital ship is due to arrive later this week.

The country's president said U.S. troops would help keep order on Haiti's increasingly lawless streets.

Venezuela has sent several planes to Haiti with doctors, aid and some soldiers. A Russia-Venezuela mission was set to leave Venezuela on Monday carrying aid on Russian planes.

Chavez said Venezuela's planes were the first to land in Haiti after Tuesday's 7.0 magnitude earthquake, which wrecked the capital Port-Au-Prince and killed as many as 200,000 people.

Six al Qaeda militants killed in Yemen air strike

Al Qaida Dropping like flies !

SANAA (Reuters) - Six al Qaeda militants were killed in an air strike in northern Yemen Friday in a stepped-up government campaign against the Islamist group.

Yemen, which gained a reputation as a haven for al Qaeda after the September 11, 2001 attacks in the United States, came under the spotlight after crackdowns on the group in Pakistan and Afghanistan raised concern it was becoming a training and recruiting center for militants.

"Two cars carrying eight dangerous al Qaeda members were hit in an area between Saada and al-Jouf," a Yemeni security official told Reuters. "Two may have survived and escaped."

"The group included Qassem al-Remi, Ayed al-Shabwani, Ammar al-Waeli, and Saleh al-Teys," the official said. The four were wanted by the Yemeni and U.S. security services.

"It is believed that Qassem al-Remi and Ayed al-Shabwani were killed in the air strike."

Al-Shabwani was one of the most dangerous al Qaeda members who provided a hideout for other militants at his farm in Maarib, where their training took place, the official said.

Clerics threaten to declare holy war if foreign troops land on Yemeni soil

“If any party insists on aggression, or invades the country, then according to Islam, jihad becomes obligatory,”

Obligitory ? oh that is spooky !

Timesonline
A group of influential religious leaders in Yemen has threatened to declare jihad — holy war — if foreign troops intervene to stem the spread of al-Qaeda in the country. The edict is a clear warning to the United States as it plans to step up its military involvement in the country.

The leaders said that a jihad would be called if foreign troops set up bases inside the country, or moved into its territorial waters.

“If any party insists on aggression, or invades the country, then according to Islam, jihad becomes obligatory," said a statement signed by 150 clerics and read out at a news conference in Sanaa, the capital. The stark threat came as Yemeni security officials declared that the country was openly now at war with the terrorists, who are trying to carve out a haven in a country riven by rebellion, secessionism, poverty and tribal loyalties...

The statement by the Yemeni Clerics Association, which wields considerable influence in the conservative Muslim state, seemed to be a clear attempt to limit the role Western forces can play in combating the new menace of al-Qaeda.

The religious group includes Sheikh Abdul-Majid al-Zindani, who was once the spiritual adviser to Osama bin Laden, and who is wanted by the US and UN on terrorism charges. The Yemeni Government has refused to arrest him, saying that no proof has been given linking him to terrorism. It is also fearful of going after so influential a figure.

Mexico to send more police to drug war epicenter

16 murders a day ! Ay Caramba ! WTF ?

Jaurez , is a war zone !

CIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico (Reuters) - Mexico is sending 2,000 elite police to try to smother a fresh surge in drug killings on the U.S. border as the army intensifies its operations, denying it plans to withdraw troops.

Hundreds of troops in combat gear fanned out from their barracks on Wednesday in Ciudad Juarez, where 2,650 people died in narco violence last year, setting up checkpoints and flying military aircraft over the city.

Drug killings in the manufacturing city across from El Paso, Texas have reached up to 16 a day since the start of the year as drug gangs fight over the city's lucrative pool of addicts and its smuggling routes deep into Texas.

The city has become one of the world's most violent and a major challenge for President Felipe Calderon, who sent 10,000 soldiers and federal police to Ciudad Juarez in March 2009 in hopes of crushing the drug trade.

Residents blame the army for provoking the jump in killings, which have grown steadily following a brief lull when the troops arrived. Mexican media and opposition politicians say a military withdrawal from Ciudad Juarez is imminent.

"The soldiers are not leaving. On the contrary, we are redoubling patrols with 100 percent of our personnel. There will be soldiers everywhere," said army spokesman Enrique Torres in Ciudad Juarez.

Calderon's strategy in the border city, the bloodiest front in his war against drug cartels, is stumbling as rights groups accuse soldiers and police of rounding up innocent residents in violent house raids and beating confessions out of suspects.

Calderon, who has sent soldiers across Mexico to fight drug cartels, has said the unprecedented military presence in Ciudad Juarez is only temporary and soldiers will be replaced by newly trained police.

Mexico captures major Tijuana drug gang leader

Another Major jackass taken off the streets of Mexico !
only a few thousand more to go .

TIJUANA, Mexico (Reuters) - Mexican police captured a drug kingpin on Tuesday known for having the corpses of tortured rivals dissolved in acid and blamed for much of a surge in violence in the northern border city of Tijuana.
In a fresh victory for Mexico's bloody war on drug gangs, Teodoro Garcia Simental was caught in southern Baja California early Tuesday, police said.

Garcia Simental, also known as "El Teo" or "Tres Letras" for the three letters in his nickname Teo, was apprehended when an elite force of some 50 federal police raided an upscale neighborhood in the beach town of La Paz near the tip of the Baja California peninsula. They searched several houses before finding him.

"No shots were fired. It was a very fast operation. The investigation has been going on for a long time," a police officer who participated in the operation told Reuters. Garcia Simental was handcuffed and swiftly flown to Mexico City.

The top smuggler split from the Tijuana-based Arellano Felix cartel to help Joaquin "Shorty" Guzman -- head of the rival Sinaloa cartel and Mexico's most wanted man -- wrest control of key smuggling corridors in northern Mexico.

Mexico opens 2010 with one of its deadliest days

Holy Shit what Next ?

Two weeks into 2010, gang bloodshed is becoming more grotesque as drug lords ramp up their attempts at intimidation. Last week a victim's face was peeled from his skull and sewn onto a soccer ball. On Monday, prosecutors in Culiacan identified the remains of 41-year-old former police officer divided into two separate ice chests.

El Paso Times
MEXICO CITY—Mexico opened the new year with what could be its most dubious distinction yet in the 3-year-old battle against drug trafficking—69 murders in one day.

The country resembled a grim, statistical dart board Saturday as law enforcement and media reported the deaths from various regions, including 26 in the border city of Ciudad Juarez, 13 in and around Mexico City and 10 in the northern city of Chihuahua.

More than 6,500 drug-related killings made 2009 the bloodiest year since President Felipe Calderon declared war on the cartels in late 2006 and deployed 45,000 soldiers to fight organized crime, according to death tallies by San Diego's Trans-Border Institute.

"You wonder how this will end, and it seems impossible," said Daniel Vega, an architect in the northern city of Monterrey. "I doubt Mexico can override drug use, especially since demand for the drugs, as well as all the money and weapons, come from the United States."

Using their so-called Narcobarometer, researchers at the University of San Diego's Trans-Border Institute track and analyze murders in Mexico, hoping to find ways to quell the
violence. Their tally? More than 20,000 murders since 2001, more than half in the past two years.

And speaking of Douchebags in China !
Al Jazeera
A man arrested in Hong Kong for hurling bottles of acid at people in a crowded street is no longer a suspect, police have said, indicating that the real culprit is still at large.

At least 30 people were injured in the acid attack on Saturday night, the latest in a string of unsolved attacks that has terrorised the city.

The people injured in the attack included nine tourists and a seven-year-old child. All the victims have been treated at local hospitals for burns and released.

The liquid was thrown on them near Temple Street, a densely populated district known for its outdoor shops and restaurants in the city's Kowloon area.

Feds Probe Cadmium in Kids' Jewelry From China / Another Fuck China Moment

Cadmium is a known carcinogen. Like lead, it can hinder brain development in the very young, according to recent research.

"It comes down to the following: Cadmium causes cancer. How much cadmium do you want your child eating?" said Michael R. Harbut, a doctor who has treated adult victims of cadmium poisoning and is director of the environmental cancer program at the Karmanos Cancer Institute in Detroit. "In my view, the answer should be none."

So Hey why not give it to our Kids ?

Lets see Contaminated Pet Food ! , Then Endless lead contaminated toys made in China for our Kids !
And now Jewelry made with Cadmium , A toxic metal that is number 7 on the CDC's list of most hazardous substances , # 7 out of 275 !

Pardon my french but , what the fuck is it going to take to stop the flood of Tainted goods from China ? Maybe a Whole generation of kids with cancer and underdeveloped Brains ? ( Maybe by then China will be poised to take over the U.S. )

Foxnews
LOS ANGELES — Moving swiftly, U.S. product safety authorities say they are launching an investigation into the presence of the toxic metal cadmium in children's jewelry imported from China after disclosure of lab tests showing that some pieces consisted primarily of the dangerous substance.

The promise to "take action as quickly as possible to protect the safety of children" followed by hours the release Sunday of an Associated Press investigative report that documented how some Chinese manufacturers have been substituting cadmium for lead in cheap charm bracelets and pendants being sold throughout the United States.

Meantime, the head of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the agency that regulates children's jewelry and toys, was set to deliver a speech Tuesday to Asian manufacturers emphasizing that American regulators are still scrutinizing jewelry contents now that they've barred the use of lead.

— Three flip flop bracelet charms sold at Walmart contained between 84 and 86 percent cadmium. The charms fared the worst of any item on the stomach acid test; one shed more cadmium in 24 hours than what World Health Organization guidelines deem a safe exposure over 60 weeks for a 33-pound child.

Lets not forget that Cheap metals will over time rub off on your Skin , How much exposure would that be to a child over say A year ? ( Maybe they need a skin leeching test )

Algeria protests at new U.S. air security rules

This is just another case of to F**king bad !
Maybe if people of the Muslim world , stood up and helped stop Terrorists A little more than they do now , then we would not have the problems we have at the Airports !
Take it from someone who flies quite often recently , It is not fun going through security on a normal day , But Now it is even tougher , longer and more aggravating , Thanks to another Muslim Douchebag who just wanted to blow people up for the good of his Cult like religion !
So Algeria Sit and spin on this one !

ALGIERS (Reuters) - Algeria's foreign minister summoned the U.S. ambassador on Monday to protest at Algeria's inclusion on a list of countries whose flights bound for the United States will be subject to extra security checks, state media reported.

The North African country is fighting an al Qaeda-linked insurgency but the violence has subsided significantly in the past few years and officials say they have stringent security measures in place, especially at airports.

Algeria's inclusion on the list -- announced by Washington after a botched attempt to blow up a Christmas Day flight bound for Detroit -- was "inappropriate, unjustified and discriminatory," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

"The Foreign Minister, Mr. Mourad Medelci, has summoned the ambassador of the United States of America in Algiers to express to him the Algerian government's strong protest over this measure," the official APS news agency said.

Algeria, a mainly Muslim energy exporter, has cooperated with the United States in the fight against violent Islamist militants.

The 14 countries on the U.S. list are Cuba, Iran, Syria, Sudan, Afghanistan, Algeria, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Somalia and Yemen.

Cuba and Nigeria have also complained about their inclusion in the list.

UAE sheikh acquitted of torture

Looks like torture to me !

But I guess in the Arab world it is something else ?
Al jazeera
Sheikh Issa bin Zayed al-Nahayan, the brother of UAE president and Abu Dhabi emir Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al-Nahayan, has been acquitted of charges of torture, his lawyer has said.

An Emirati court on Sunday acquitted Shiekh Issa despite a video tape of the 2004 incident showing him torturing an Afghan man with whips, electric cattle prods and wooden planks with protruding nails.

"The court acquitted Sheikh Issa after establishing he was not responsible," for the torture, lawyer Habib al-Mulla said on Sunday.

"The court accepted our defence that the Sheikh was under the influence of drugs [medicine] that left him unaware of his actions," al-Mulla said.

What ? A Meds Defense ?

Bassam and Ghassan Nabulsi, former business partners of Sheikh Issa, who filmed and kept the video tape, were sentenced in absentia to five years each in prison.

How nice , His buddies get thrown under the Bus !

The video tape was handed to the ABC News channel last April.

Sheikh Issa was charged with rape, endangering a life and causing bodily harm, the Gulf National newspaper reported.

Uh , Rape .
As part of the guys "Torture" he raped him ?
That will teach him a lesson !

Rally speaks out against terrorism

A little shocking to see this at first , a muslim rally against terrorism !
It had me going till the end of the article where Dawud Walid , an Ass istant Imam at Masjid Wali Muhammad ( A mosque ) chimed in , More importantly he is the Head of the Michigan Branch of CAIR !
So I take this whole event with a grain of salt , yes maybe some of these guys a for real , but when anyone from CAIR is involved , it must be Questioned .

Freep.com
Trying to give a better picture of Islam, Muslims spoke out Friday against terrorism with national and world news media in town to cover the court hearing of a Nigerian man accused of trying to bomb a plane over Detroit on Dec. 25. The denunciations come at a time of growing concern about the radicalization of some Muslims in the West.

Chanting, "No more terrorism," about 150 people waved U.S. flags as they rallied in the cold outside the courthouse where 23-year-old Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab appeared for his arraignment...

Earlier in the day, about 10 Muslim imams gathered for a news conference to declare that terrorism has no place in their religion.

"In the teachings of the Quran, security is very, very important," said Imam Mohamed Musa of the Muslim Unity Center in Bloomfield Hills.

The afternoon rally largely consisted of Arab-American Muslims, but also included some Nigerian Americans, both Muslim and Christian...

During the news conference, some of the imams said they were concerned that the ideologies of al-Qaida may be attracting a tiny percentage of young Muslims.

"Al-Qaida must be defeated not only militarily, but intellectually," said Imam Aly Lela of the Islamic Association of Greater Detroit, a mosque in Rochester Hills.

At the same time, the imams cautioned against the profiling of Muslims.

Dawud Walid, assistant imam at Masjid Wali Muhammad in Detroit and head of the Michigan branch of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, noted that Muslims are rooted in the history and culture of metro Detroit, saying they have lived here for at least a century.

"We have a long track record of speaking out against terrorism," said Walid, who later participated in the rally at the courthouse, waving a U.S. flag.

Malaysian churches attacked ( By very Ignorant Muslims )

Whaaaaaaah! Now Muslims are going to firebomb churches because Christians in Malaysia Use the word Allah to describe God In their reporting ! The word Allah stands for God , But they just don't want Christians using it !
They say it is Exclusive to Islam and should not be used by non Muslims !

ALLAH , ALLAH , ALLAH , ALLAH , ALLAH , ALLAH .

Al jazeera
Four Christian churches in Malaysia have been attacked amid tensions over the use of the word "Allah" by non-Muslims in the country.

Attackers threw a molotov cocktail which failed to ignite at a church in the state of Selangor on Friday afternoon, media reports said.

O.K. Dumbass's ,it is very simple , You put the gas in the bottle , then you take a rag ( Not your Wife )soak it in gas , then stuff the rag in the bottle ! Light rag with a match then throw ! boom you have a ball of flame !

The incident comes hours after a petrol bomb was thrown at a church in the capital, Kuala Lumpur, as well as attackers trying to set another two ablaze in a nearby suburb.

Police also recieved reports of cars displaying Christian symbols having their windscreens smashed in the suburb of Bangsar.

Hishammuddin Hussein, the home minister, appealed for calm and moved to assure religious groups in the country that "they are safe".

"I take the events that happened last night very seriously," he said.

"We want to assure the public that this was not a co-ordinated and well-planned action."

Sorry Nimrod , when you have a group of People going around and Firebombing Churches in Protest , Muslim or not , it is a Co-ordinated and well planned action ( except for the Dumbass that can't ignite a simple Molatov Cocktail !)

A Malaysian court had last week overturned a government ban on non-Muslims using the word "Allah" in their literature, allowing Roman Catholic newsletter, the Herald, to use the term to refer to God in the Malay language.

The judge has since suspended the implementation of the ruling, after the government appealed and the Roman Catholic church agreed to the suspension.

Muslim groups held protests after prayers on Friday against the court overturning the "Allah" ban, despite a warning from Musa Hassan, the country's police chief, advising organisers to "let this be handled by the court" and that he "will take action against anyone who acts to jeopardise national security".

Muslims in Malaysia argue that the "Allah" is exclusive to Islam, and its use by Christians would confuse Muslims.

Allah exclusive to Muslims ? what a joke !
I don't think using a word like Allah will confuse Muslims , But obviously Muslims are very confused , not just by religion , but many things , like common decency , and sexual preference !

But Catholic church officials say that for Christian indigenous tribes in East Malaysia, who are the main readers of the Herald's Malay-language edition, "Allah" is the only word they have known for God for decades.

Allah , Allah , Allah , Allah , Allah , Allah , Allah , Allah , Allah .

Report on airline bomber to 'shock'

Remember back to the Bush 2 , era for a Minute .
Do you all remember the Democrats bitching their fool Brains out about how George Bush And Dick Cheney were trying to use "Fear" as a Tactic to Scare the crap out of all of us ? How things were greatly "Exaggerated" just to scare us "Dumb" unknowing sheeple ?
Hmmmmmm! Now that the Libtards are being held to task about "Real" Homeland security , it is a Whole different story !
Not so easy is it Jackass's .

(USA Today )WASHINGTON — White House national security adviser James Jones says Americans will feel "a certain shock" when they read an account being released Thursday of the missed clues that could have prevented the alleged Christmas Day bomber from ever boarding the plane.

President Obama "is legitimately and correctly alarmed that things that were available, bits of information that were available, patterns of behavior that were available, were not acted on," Jones said in an interview Wednesday with USA TODAY.

"That's two strikes," Obama's top White House aide on defense and foreign policy issues said, referring to the foiled bombing of the Detroit-bound airliner and the shooting rampage at Fort Hood, Texas, in November. In that case, too, officials failed to act when red flags were raised about an Army psychiatrist, Maj. Nidal Hasan. He has been charged with killing 13 people.
Jones said Obama "certainly doesn't want that third strike, and neither does anybody else."

The White House plans to release an unclassified report Thursday on what went wrong in the incident involving a 23-year-old Nigerian man who tried to blow up a Northwest Airlines flight.

In Detroit Wednesday, the suspect, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, was indicted on charges that include attempted murder and trying to use a weapon of mass destruction to kill nearly 300 people. Abdulmutallab, who faces life in prison if convicted, is to appear for the first time in federal court Friday.

what a time Not to be at home ! I always miss the good stuff .

He has told investigators that he was trained and equipped in Yemen by a group affiliated with al-Qaeda. His father had gone to the U.S. Embassy in Nigeria to warn American officials that his son seemed to be turning to extremist ideology.

Even so, Abdulmutallab's visa to the U.S. wasn't revoked and he wasn't placed on the "no-fly" list.

So , I say we return the favor to the Dumocrats , and start making some real noise to the Obamasiah and all his Minions ( The Obamamaggots ) about the security of this country , just like they did to George Bush .

Media killings, deaths hit 132 in 2009, report says

Not a good year to be a journalist , Especially in a third world Country !

GENEVA (Reuters) - The Philippines, Mexico, Somalia and Russia were the most dangerous countries for journalists in 2009, a global media group reported on Wednesday.

A total of 132 journalists and support staff were killed or died while working last year, the International News Safety Institute, INSI, said.

Just three international reporters were among those deliberately targeted, the dead being overwhelmingly local journalists covering dangerous stories like high-level crime and corruption for national news media.

The Brussels-based INSI, which monitors statistics from around the world, said 98 of the dead were murdered because of their reporting activities.

"Journalists continue to die because they dare to shine a light on the darkest corners of societies. This is the shocking price we pay for our news," INSI Director Rodney Pinder said in a statement released in Geneva with the body's annual figures.

Japanese whalers accused of sinking protest boat

This is probably the first Bath these Hippies have had in months .

CANBERRA (Reuters) - Anti-whaling activists accused Japanese whalers of ramming and sinking a high-tech protest boat in the frigid Southern Ocean on Wednesday, but Japan said that its ship could not avoid the collision.

The Australian government called for restraint by all parties after the hardline Sea Shepherd Conservation Society said its futuristic powerboat Ady Gil was cut in half by the Japanese security ship Shonan Maru No. 2.

All six crew were rescued, but the collision left one activist with two broken ribs and the A$1.5 million ($1.37 million) carbon-fiber trimaran was sinking, Sea Shepherd said.

"We believe it was deliberate. Our ship had come to a complete stop and they basically came straight down on top of them. They cleaned them up," the group's Australian director Jeff Hansen told Reuters.

Japan's Fisheries Agency said the collision took place when Ady Gil suddenly slowed down as it crossed in front of Shonan Maru, which had warned the boat of impending danger.

Yemen 'arrests al-Qaeda suspects' wounded in raid

Does anyone else find it strange that Yemen , All the sudden is actively going after Al Qaida ?
BBC
Yemeni forces have arrested three suspected al-Qaeda militants who were wounded in a raid on Monday, security sources say.

They were captured at a hospital north of the capital, Sanaa. AFP news agency says they include Mohammed al-Hanq, a key local al-Qaeda leader.

The arrests came as the UK and France reopened their embassies in Yemen.

They and the US embassy had been temporarily closed in response to what was described as an al-Qaeda threat.

AFP quoted an unnamed security official saying: "Mohammed al-Hanq and two others who were wounded were captured in a hospital in Amran."

The agency said the local al-Qaeda leader was thought to be behind the security threats that had prompted the embassy closures.

Obama calls bomb attempt an intelligence "screw-up"

"We dodged a bullet but just barely," the White House quoted him as telling the security chiefs. "It was averted by brave individuals not because the system worked, and that is not acceptable."

Dodged a Bullet , That is a great understatement !
If The Obama administration really wants to clamp down on security loopholes , then I have a major suggestion For them ...
Try looking at Al Qaida and the Taliban along with Al Shabaab and Hamas As Terrorists !

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The attempted Christmas Day bombing of a U.S. airliner was a potentially disastrous "screw up" by the intelligence community, President Barack Obama said on Tuesday as he vowed urgent action to plug holes in air security.

Sharpening his tone as he sought to limit political fallout over the intelligence breakdown, Obama said spy agencies had enough information to uncover the December 25 plot to blow up a Detroit-bound transatlantic flight from Amsterdam but failed to "connect those dots."

On Obama's first full day back from his Hawaii vacation, he faced the challenge of spotlighting national security -- suddenly pushed to the top of his agenda -- while not looking distracted from other pressing public concerns like reducing double-digit U.S. unemployment.

"We have to do better and we will do better. And we will do it quickly," Obama said after a two-hour meeting with his national security team to discuss what he has called "human and systemic failures" in the Christmas Day incident.

Obama used his sharpest language behind closed doors, telling more than two dozen security chiefs gathered in the Situation Room, "This was a screw-up that could have been disastrous," according to the White House.

"We dodged a bullet but just barely," the White House quoted him as telling the security chiefs. "It was averted by brave individuals not because the system worked, and that is not acceptable."

UK may ban Islamist march in military memorial town

This should be good , especially if Islam4uk does hold a march and are banned from doing so .
Either way , Islam4uk will have a major hissy fit over this , and it can only help confirm the fact that Islam and its Radical fringe are not good for the rest of the world .
....
LONDON (reuters) - British Prime Minister Gordon Brown said on Monday he was appalled that an Islamist group planned to march through a town renowned for honoring British troops killed in Afghanistan.
Any attempt to distress the families of dead soldiers would be "abhorrent and offensive," he said in a statement.

Home Secretary Alan Johnson said the proposed march through Wootton Bassett in southwest England filled him with "revulsion" and he would grant a ban on the march on public order grounds if police and the local authority sought one.

Mourners regularly line the streets of Wootton Bassett as the coffins of troops pass through the town from a nearby airforce base which receives the bodies of British soldiers flown back from Afghanistan.

Islamist activist Anjem Choudary said his organization Islam4UK intended to hold the procession to highlight the deaths of "innocent Muslim men, women and children" who had been killed in the conflict.

Islam4UK seeks the introduction of sharia law in Britain has links to Islmaist militant leader Omar Bakri Mohammed who has been banned from entering Britain. The group's website gave no indication of when the march would take place.

Some 246 British soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan since the invasion to oust the Taliban in 2001.

A protest last March by Choudary's supporters in Luton, north of London, against soldiers returning from Iraq led to widespread condemnation.

A facebook page set up to oppose the Wootton Bassett procession has already attracted almost 180,000 supporters.

US shuts embassy as al-Qaeda 'plans attack in Yemen

What the hell do we even have an embassy in Yemen for ?
....BBC
The US has indications that al-Qaeda is planning an attack in the Yemeni capital Sanaa, President Barack Obama's top counter-terrorism adviser has said.

John Brennan was speaking after the US and UK announced their embassies in Sanaa had temporarily closed.

The US has accused a Yemen-based offshoot of al-Qaeda of being behind the alleged Christmas Day bomb attempt on a US jet flying to Detroit.

There are mounting fears that Yemen is becoming a leading al-Qaeda haven.

Mr Brennan, the US Deputy National Security Adviser for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism, told ABC's This Week TV programme that the group had "several hundred members" in Yemen and was posing an increasing threat there.

"This is something that we've known about for a while," he said. "We're determined to destroy al-Qaeda, whether it's in Pakistan, Afghanistan, or in Yemen."

Mr Brennan added: "We know that they have been targeting our embassy, our embassy personnel."

Pakistan volleyball game attack: Will local opposition to Taliban hold firm?

"in what appears to be another retaliatory strike for recent Army offensives against the Taliban."

Everything is a retalitory strike when it comes to Terrorism .
The problem is that the Taliban always strikes at innocent people who do not Think like them !
....the Christian Science Monitor
Lahore, Pakistan

The death toll from a massive suicide attack at a volleyball tournament in northwest Pakistan mounted to 95 on Saturday, in what appears to be another retaliatory strike for recent Army offensives against the Taliban.

More than 600 civilians have now lost their lives to such attacks since the Pakistan Army began a military offensive in the Taliban stronghold of South Waziristan in October. Friday night’s attack was the second deadliest of these, after a market bombing in Peshawar in October that killed 130.

According to police, the main target of the New Year's Day attack in the town of Lakki Marwat was probably a local anti-Taliban militia, as militants seek to underscore their ongoing potency and counter government claims that they are on the defensive.

But despite the setback, local opposition to the Taliban is likely to remain firm, according to Abdul Basit, a security analyst at the Islamabad based Pakistani Institute for Peace Studies.

“The dynamics currently are that people have understood the fact that Taliban militants have broken the social ethos of Pashtun society,” he says, adding, “I don’t believe it will dampen their resolve.”

Afghan CIA bomber 'was courted as potential informant'

Qur'an 5:41 "Whomever Allah wants to deceive you cannot help. Allah does not want them to know the truth because he intends to disgrace them and then torture them."

Ishaq:365
Tabari VII:94 "Muhammad bin Maslamah said, 'O Messenger, we shall have to tell lies.' 'Say what you like,' Muhammad replied. 'You are absolved, free to say whatever you must.'"

Qur'an 66:2 "Allah has already sanctioned for you the dissolution of your vows."

If only some will listen !

....BBC
The suicide bomber who killed seven CIA agents in Afghanistan had been courted by the US as a possible informant, US intelligence sources have said.

They said he had not undergone the usual full body search before entering the base in Khost province, and so was able to smuggle in an explosive belt.

The attack was the worst against US intelligence officials since the US embassy in Beirut was bombed in 1983.

Pakistan volleyball game 'hit by suicide bomber'

The Sheeple of Pakistan once again attacked by some party poopers by the name of the Taliban !
Bad enough as it is , They don't even know how or why this attack took place !
Pretty hard to stop what you dont Understand !
....BBC
A bomb has exploded close to a volleyball game in the troubled north-west of Pakistan, with as many as 20 people feared dead, officials say.

At least one home near the sports field collapsed, and people were said to be trapped under rubble.

The attack took place in Lakki Marwat, close to the tribal areas of North and South Waziristan.

Police officials said a suicide bomber had carried out the attack, although details remained unclear.

One police official told Reuters that a suicide bomber had approached the game on foot and blown himself up.

"There's a lot of damage. Roofs of nearby houses collapsed. There could be high casualties," the official, Habibullah Khan, said.

However, another report cited police as saying the bomber drove a car packed with explosives on to the field as people gathered to watch the match.

Mr Khan was quoted by the Associated Press as saying the attack may have been in retaliation for attempts by locals to expel militants by setting up their own militia.
