The imam Feisal Abdul Rauf said on Wednesday night that if he had known how much strife would arise over his plan for a Muslim community center and mosque two blocks from the World Trade Center site, he would not have proposed it.
Imam Rauf even explains that he has "devoted his life to Peacemaking "
Fair enough , it is Possible !
But the imam said he could not withdraw the plan because that would embolden radicals of all faiths and create security risks for the United States and Americans abroad.
“If we move from that location, the story will be that the radicals have taken over the discourse,” he said. “The headlines in the Muslim world will be that Islam is under attack. And I’m less concerned about the radicals in America than I am about the radicals in the Muslim world.”
Is that a threat Mr Rauf ? What are you really saying here ?

I picked this from Weasel Zippers , I could initially only find it at Huff Po , but my PC Starts getting cranky when I go there (Plus I feel really dirty after a short visit there )

Pelosi Suggests Probe of Funding Sources Behind Opposition to Mosque Near Ground Zero
"There is no question that there is a concerted effort to make this a political issue by some,"

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is suggesting a coordinated effort is behind the opposition to a proposed mosque and community center near Ground Zero, saying the whole dispute has been "ginned up" for political purposes and she supports a probe into those opponents.
Commenting publicly for the first time on the Park 51 project, Pelosi said the issue was posing a distraction and that some organized force is behind it.
"There is no question that there is a concerted effort to make this a political issue by some," she said in remarks posted Tuesday in a video on the San Francisco Chronicle website. "And I join those who have called for looking into how is this opposition to the mosque (is) being funded."
On Wednesday, Pelosi's office clarified that the speaker is not calling for a "congressional inquiry," though she still supports looking into the funding of the mosque's opponents as well as its patrons.
"I support the statement made by the Interfaith Alliance that 'We agree with the (Anti-Defamation League) that there is a need for transparency about who is funding the effort to build this Islamic center. At the same time, we should also ask who is funding the attacks against the construction of the center,'" she said.

"As a citizen, and as president, I believe that Muslims have the same right to practise their religion as everyone else in this country.
Mr Obama , I believe everyone agrees with you , Muslims have the same right to "PRACTICE" their Religion !
But Practicing that Religion so close to Ground zero ,the Spot where 19 Militant Islamic ,radical, extremist Nutbags Decided to prove their point in the Name of Allah And the Holy Koran , which resulted in the Murders of Nearly 3000 Innocent Americans , IS JUST NOT RIGHT !

The US president, Barack Obama, has defended controversial plans to build a mosque near the site of the 9/11 terrorist attacks in New York, saying to oppose them would be un-American.
Prominent Republicans have led protests against the construction of an Islamic cultural centre and mosque two blocks from the site of the former World Trade Centre. The proposed building would not be visible from Ground Zero.
Obama acknowledged that "sensitivities" surrounded the 9/11 site, which he described as "hallowed ground", but he said Muslims had the same right to practise their religion "as anyone else".
In a speech at a White House dinner celebrating Ramadan, he said: "As a citizen, and as president, I believe that Muslims have the same right to practise their religion as everyone else in this country.
"That includes the right to build a place of worship and a community centre on private property in lower Manhattan, in accordance with local laws and ordinances.
"This is America, and our commitment to religious freedom must be unshakeable."

Across Nation, Mosque Projects Meet Opposition
In all of the recent conflicts, opponents have said their problem is Islam itself. They quote passages from the Koran and argue that even the most Americanized Muslim secretly wants to replace the Constitution with Islamic Shariah law.
It will never Happen !
Not that Muslims don't want to , because we as a People will not let it happen !
A new trend is starting in New York , Construction workers are refusing to work on Mosques , Muslims may have the right to build but that does not mean that we have to cooperate !
Four years ago , Faced with working or not working , I had to work At a Mosque , Excuse me , " A Community center " , it happened that it fell on Fourth of July weekend , Actually on the third , to make it easier , I saved up some Pork chop bones , Two nice bones with a bit of meat were placed in a zip lock bag with a note from myself sealed also in a bag ! they were placed dead center and at the East end of their Prayer room ! others were distributed throughout their Kitchen !
It is all about the Little things in life !
And seeing as how the Muslim Douchebags never paid for the Work , I gloat in Knowing that the Muslims that pray their are kneeling and praying on a Concrete floor riddled with Pork !

In Sheboygan, Wis., a few Christian ministers led a noisy fight against a Muslim group that sought permission to open a mosque in a former health food store bought by a Muslim doctor.
At one time, neighbors who did not want mosques in their backyards said their concerns were over traffic, parking and noise — the same reasons they might object to a church or a synagogue. But now the gloves are off.

Muslims to Rebuild World Trade Center ?
WTF ? is going on in our country , Fox news puts out a report that Saudi Arabia And the United Arab Emirates are on the list of top Bidders to rebuild ground Zero !
Not Much is being said about this and hopefully it does not go unnoticed .
No Muslim involvement of any kind should be used to rebuild the World Trade Center (The Freedom Tower ) and there should be no Mosques built anywhere near Ground Zero !

The hijackers who pulled off the Sept. 11 attacks primarily came from these two countries, and each nation has been linked to Al Qaeda. Should this company be allowed to bid on the WTC project?

Muslims in NYC Planning to Build Second, Smaller Mosque Near Ground Zero
In fact, the website appealing for donations boldly states that it plans to “build the 'House of Allah' next to the World Trade Center. Help us raise the flag of 'LA ILLAH ILLA ALLAH' in downtown Manhattan."

As controversy surrounds the construction of a 13-story mosque just two blocks from Ground Zero, FOX News has learned that an effort to place a second mosque close to the hallowed site in New York City is in its advanced stages.
The Masjid Mosque has raised $8.5 million and is seeking an additional $2.5 million to begin construction. While it apparently has not settled on a final location, it has told donors it plans to build very close to where 3,000 people were killed in the September 11 terror attacks.
In fact, the website appealing for donations boldly states that it plans to “build the 'House of Allah' next to the World Trade Center. Help us raise the flag of 'LA ILLAH ILLA ALLAH' in downtown Manhattan."
One source said he believed the planners are considering a five-story building on 23 Park Place, closer to Ground Zero than the 13-story mosque the Cordoba Initiative is planning to build. But a tax record search shows that 23 Park Place is in private hands and has not changed owners since 2008.
Unlike the massive $100 million Cordoba House mosque, the Masjid Mosque is small – and it is no stranger to the neighborhood. Since 1970 it had been located at 12 Warren Street, about four blocks north of the World Trade Center, in a neat but nondescript industrial space that once housed a printing shop. It lost its lease in 2008 when the building was sold, and it was evicted from its second-floor prayer space on May 25 of that year. Since then it has been operating out a cramped basement space in a nearby building at 20 Warren Street.
