Son of a bitch, waking from my sound sleep this morning I thought Canada had joined the Muslim world and started to overthrow the Canadian Government.
But no, the Canucks had their ass's handed to them last night and lost game 7, And the Stanley Cup!
That and they ran out of labatts and Molson, the combo of the two traumatic experiences was just to much for the Canadian people to handle.
Maybe next year Canada, you will have a team worthy of the Stanley Cup, but once again an American team owns it for now.

Riot police in Vancouver used tear gas to quell violence that broke out after the Vancouver Canucks lost the final game of the Stanley Cup.
Cars were set on fire and shops were looted following the ice hockey team's 4-0 defeat to the Boston Bruins.
Mobs of angry fans roamed central Vancouver after the game, as thick acrid smoke rose over the city centre.
Similar riots broke out in the Canadian city after the Canucks lost the Stanley Cup in 1994.
Record crowds of supporters gathered in the heart of the city on Wednesday in the hope of seeing their team - the favourites - secure the Stanley Cup and be crowned winners of the National Hockey League (NHL).
But hope quickly turned to gloom after the Boston Bruins scored first and then went on to secure an emphatic victory.

U.S. probe to look at border concerns of Muslims
Not that any Muslims that lives in Metro Detroit aren't rude and Obnoxious people to any one other than a Muslim!
Not that Detroit area Muslims like many other Muslims around the world, act like there is never any terrorism coming from Islam!
Not that because of what some Muslims did on 9/11 has not changed how we need to be, and a continuing threat from Muslims trying to come into the United States to commit acts of terrorism cause us to be cautious as to protect everyone, (Including Muslims)
I find that usually the people that are constantly "Checked" by immigration and customs, are very rude and uncooperative to begin with!
Its not like any Muslim would ever try to make a point out of a situation that they created.

The U.S. government has launched an investigation into allegations that federal agents at several U.S.-Canada border crossings in Michigan repeatedly harassed, jailed and body searched Muslims because of their background or appearance.
In a letter sent this week to a local Muslim group, Margo Schlanger, the head of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties in the Department of Homeland Security, said her office has received accounts of "repeated handcuffing, brandishing of weapons, prolonged detentions, invasive and humiliating body searches at the border, and inappropriate questioning that pertains to religion and religious practices."
The complaints include incidents at the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel, the Ambassador Bridge in Detroit and the Blue Water Bridge in Port Huron.
The investigation comes in response to complaints filed in March by the Council on American-Islamic Relations with the Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security.
The council said it was concerned that agents were even asking people about their prayer schedules.

We Don't Want Your Canadian Trash
This has been a big issue in Michigan for years, The Canadian trash haulers flood across the border to dump their trash for next to nothing.
Past political dealings(Money going into someones Pocket)has made this what it is.
Is it B.S. definitely, Can anything really be done about it, Probably; but at a cost to us Michigan Taxpayers I'm sure.

In hopes of discouraging the trek, they're introducing legislation in Congress that would charge the Canadians exorbitant fees for bringing their garbage stateside...
But some might choose to blame Michigan for setting itself up as an international landfill destination. The state creates a financial incentive for Canadians to bring their trash across the border. Not only is the border fee just $5, it charges just 21 cents for every ton of trash. By contrast, Wisconsin charges $12.99 per ton.
Prices at Canada's landfills are much higher. They range from about $64 (U.S. dollars) per ton of commercial waste in Windsor to upwards of $100 per ton in Ottawa.

Canada bans air cargo from Yemen
And as it Should Be !
Is it just me or is everybody else wondering when Somebody, ANYBODY , is going to really show some balls in all of this ?

Canada has banned all air cargo originating from Yemen in the wake of last week's discovery of explosive material on flights bound for the United States.
The ban was not instituted based on intelligence specific to Canada, said Transport Minister Chuck Strahl. It is instead an interim measure to keep people safe while the government decides what further steps might be necessary, he said.
Earlier Monday, Germany suspended all passenger flights from Yemen until further notice. It had previously banned all cargo flights from the country after it was determined that one of the packages was routed to London through the UPS hub in Cologne.
Britain has banned all unaccompanied freight packages from Yemen and Somalia, and barred all passengers from transporting toner cartridges larger than 500 grams in their carry-on luggage as of Monday night.

Protests Turn Violent at G-20 Summit in Toronto
It is just expected , That is why it does nothing !
Anarchists once again prove their stupidity by predictably Rioting around the G20 summit , and the police as usual were way to kind to these asswipes .
Nothing ever gets done at these summits , it is just a big Mental happy ending for everyone involved , and a lot of greif for the world because of it .
But for the next G20 summit , I have a cheap and easy Non Violent method of Crowd control , WATER CANNONS ! Anarchist Hippie Douchebags cower when confronted with water , It would be Much cheaper than the Billion Plus that Canada has invested so far .

A column of thick black smoke rose from the burning police cars in a chaotic scene that included throngs of police in riot gear and many protesters. Police say some were anarchists, wearing black clothing, including masks.
Toronto Police Chief Bill Blair says his officers were pelted with rocks and bottles, and used teargas to control one large crowd.
He says the violence may not be over.
"I do not believe the individuals bent on vandalism and violence in our city are finished with their intent," Blair said. "And so we will remain vigilant, and we will be on the street all night and all tomorrow in sufficient numbers to deal with these individuals."

Ah yes the G20 get together .
Once a year the Elite rich Countries of the world get together to discuss what they can do to change the world for us little people .
I could care , but it sure brings out every whacko in the world , it makes for some really good news , screw the world cup , forget Wimbledon , Put on the coverage of G20 .

The vehicle was flagged because it looked suspicious and unsafe, police said, but there was no evidence that the car was related to the arrival of dignitaries this weekend in Canada's largest city.
"There's quite a various amount of items that, used by the wrong person at the wrong time, was enough that we made the arrest," said police Const. Hugh Smith, after the arrest.

Canada unveils arsenal for anti-G20 protests
The devices look harmless enough, like a large, home stereo speaker that can be strapped to an officer's chest. Protest groups say they should not be allowed because the sound can be turned to as loud as 146 decibels .
Another year , another big G20 riot .
I like this loud speaker tactic , they don't need to turn it up all the way , just to the the point that it makes the protesters really sick , like wanting to puke and have uncontrollable bowel movements !
Now that would be good fun.

Toronto police said their new Long Range Acoustic Device would help them communicate with roaring protesters from as far as 250 meters (820 feet) away. When turned to full volume, the devices can emit enough sound to damage eardrums.
"This is not a weapon," said Constable Wendy Drummond, a spokeswoman for the Integrated Security Unit that will provide security for the two summits. "It is a communications tool. It may or may not even be used."
Security forces have bought four of the portable loudspeakers, also known as a sonic guns because the volume can be turned up to such levels they can be used as weapons.

Canada drops plans for politically correct anthem
Good for the people of the Great white North !

Who was spearheading the "Make the 100 year old Anthem gender neutral" Campaign ?
(Reuters) - Don't mess with a century-old tradition even if it is sexist, Canadians told the Conservative government this week, forcing Ottawa to scrap plans to make the country's national anthem gender-neutral.
The government tucked the idea into a major policy speech on Tuesday and by Friday the public outcry was so strong Prime Minister Stephen Harper backtracked.
"We offered to hear from Canadians on this issue and they have already spoken loud and clear," said Dimitri Soudas, Harper's spokesman.
"They overwhelmingly do not want to open the issue. The government will not proceed any further to change our national anthem," he said.
For nearly 100 years, the anthem has included the line, "True patriot love in all thy sons' command."
Harper wanted to start a public discussion on whether to change the wording in a way that would not exclude the nation's daughters. He took the initiative on the advice of a female senator, according to National Post columnist Don Martin.
The opposition Liberals called it a gimmick proving the Conservatives were not serious about women's rights.
Complaints from irked citizens poured in to radio and television shows, invoking the sanctity of national symbols and tradition. Many said the timing was particularly unfortunate, coming the week the Vancouver Winter Olympics ended.
Canadians took home a record 14 gold medals during the Games, and the country heard the anthem repeatedly during flag-raising ceremonies for the winners.

US hockey upsets Canada
Team USA delivers a nice little 5 to 3 spanking to team Canada right before the Medal rounds begin ,
Neither team out for the count , so there still could be a rematch .

The goaltending couldn't haven't been better in the U.S. defeat of much-hyped Canada. The timing couldn't be more perfect, either.
Now, the latest hockey team to capture the American public imagination's needs only to write a happy ending to this success story in the making, just like the 1960 and 1980 teams did.
Winning the game they supposedly couldn't against a virtual NHL all-star team that Canadians believed was ordained for gold, the Americans' unexpected 5-3 victory Sunday advanced them to Wednesday's quarterfinals as the top-seeded team.
This game wasn't for a medal. Canada wasn't eliminated; the Americans are assured of nothing but a bye before they play the Switzerland-Belarus winner. Even so, this was a magical moment for U.S. hockey that, at least in the Olympics, hasn't been matched since the Miracle on Ice in 1980.
"You just can't beat it. It was fun," Paul Stastny said. "It was a once-in-a-lifetime atmosphere."
Fittingly, Monday is the 30th anniversary of the United States' monumental upset against the Soviet Union's supposedly unbeatable all-world team in Lake Placid.

NATO troops clash with Afghan allies

SALAR, Afghanistan (Reuters) - NATO troops clashed with their Afghan allies in a so-called "friendly fire" incident on Saturday, calling in air strikes that killed four Afghan soldiers and stoked anger among villagers.
The clashes took place hours after an apparently disgruntled interpreter shot dead two U.S. soldiers at a nearby base. The incidents, although not apparently linked, highlighted the fraught relationship between Western forces and their Afghan hosts.
NATO and Afghan officials tried to head off tension by announcing a joint investigation into how their troops ended up battling each other in Wardak province, southwest of Kabul.
"Four army soldiers were killed and six wounded when a foreign forces air strike hit their post," said Shahedullah Shahed, spokesman for Wardak's governor. "We don't know why it happened, but it is deeply regrettable."
He said the strike had targeted an Afghan Army outpost that had been newly established. Foreign forces and Afghan troops were both separately conducting overnight operations when they started shooting at each other, he said.
The NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) said its troops had come under fire and called in air strikes, without realizing they were engaging Afghan security forces.
"Initial post-operational reports indicate the small arms fire originated from an Afghan National Army (ANA) combat outpost and the subsequent air support called in by the joint force likely killed at least four ANA soldiers," a statement said.
"We work extremely hard to coordinate and synchronize our operations," said Canadian Brigadier-General Eric Tremblay, the force's main spokesman. "This is a regrettable incident and our thoughts go out to the families of those killed and wounded."
Hours earlier, an interpreter opened fire at a base in the same province, shooting dead two U.S. soldiers before he was killed, two U.S. military officials said, under condition they not be named because details had yet to be officially released.
"Initial indications are this was a case of a disgruntled employee" rather than an insurgent attack, one of the U.S. officials said. An Afghan provincial official confirmed the account, saying the interpreter had argued with troops over pay.

Canada chides U.S. for remarks on 9/11 plotters
It appears to be getting harder for Janet Napolitano , to keep her foot out of her mouth ! I say she fits right in with the Obama Administration , Which has an uncanny resemblance to the Clinton Administration , When it comes to running their Mouths !
OTTAWA (Reuters) - The Canadian government moved on Tuesday to correct U.S. homeland security chief Janet Napolitano after she wrongly said some of the perpetrators of the 9/11 attacks had crossed into the United States from Canada.
Public Safety Minister Peter Van Loan -- who met with Napolitano in March -- said his aides had contacted her office on Tuesday after she made the remarks to the Canadian Broadcasting Corp.
"She was well aware at that time (in March) and understood clearly that none of the 9/11 terrorists came across the Canadian border into the United States ... We confirmed with her office this morning that she continues to be well aware of that," Van Loan told reporters.
Napolitano raised concerns in Canada with remarks indicating she wants to clamp down on border security, which businesses fear could throttle vital trade flows.
She told the CBC on Monday that "to the extent that terrorists have come into our country or suspected or known terrorists have entered our country across a border, it's been across the Canadian border".
Asked if she was referring to the 9/11 plotters, she replied: "Not just those but others as well."
Van Loan said Napolitano had been speaking about Algerian-born Ahmed Ressam, who was arrested in December 1999 as he crossed into the United States from Canada with a car carrying explosives.
Ressam was sentenced to 22 years in jail in July 2005 for plotting to set off a bomb at Los Angeles airport on December 31, 1999.
