Justice Department Challenges Utah’s Immigration Law

The Justice Department said it is the federal government's role to enforce federal immigration laws, not local governments.

Attorney General Eric Holder said in a statement that "a patchwork of immigration laws is not the answer and will only create further problems in our immigration system."

So another Law set out by a State to help combat the flood of Illegal Immigrants within the U.S. is attacked by The Obama Administration.

Its not up to the States to do anything, it is up to the Feds; yet the feds do not do anything past the reaches of the border.

Honestly, what is the issue with checking an I.D.? Really, who does it hurt; you are supposed to have some form of Identification on you letting authorities know who you are, so whats the big deal?
If you are arrested for a serious crime do you have the right to keep your identity hidden? hell no.

I find it amazing and utterly mindnumbing that this is always a problem for Liberals; Illegal Immigrant? you can not ask for their I.D,
Voting in an election for the President of the U.S. nope, no I.D. required here either (If you are an Immigrant)

I HAVE TO SHOW A DAMNED I.D. TO VOTE, to show that I am a registered voter ! so should everyone else.

But the U.S. justice Department, the Libtards, and the Obummer Administration seem to feel that showing a simple I.D disenfranchises illegal immigrants, and potential voters.

Foxnews

The Department of Justice and other agencies filed a complaint Tuesday in Salt Lake City that challenges Utah's immigration law, saying the state violates the U.S. Constitution due to its attempt to establish a state-specific immigration policy.
The department said the law mandates enforcement measures that can disrupt immigration practices by the federal government in the area. The Justice Department also expressed concern that, under the law, individuals could potentially be harassed and wrongfully detained, according to a statement.

This is the second lawsuit filed against the law. Civil rights groups filed a lawsuit earlier this year, and a federal judge granted a temporary restraining order in May against House Bill 497. That bill requires people arrested for serious crimes to prove their citizenship but gives police discretion to check citizenship for lesser crimes.
Similar lawsuits have taken aim at immigration enforcement in states like Arizona, Alabama and South Carolina.

Students illegally in California to get increased access to higher education

Whats My Issue ?
Being a current Student myself and a former resident of San Diego, a lot.

For the first few semesters of school I had to pay out of my own pocket, I was not eligible for a student loan or any other financial aid !
it was not till I lost my job and had a significant lower income that I was able to receive a student loan, No Grants, no free ride here, I must pay back my loan !

California Gov Jerry Brown, feels it is necessary to afford Illegal aliens (People who are not even residents in this country) every break possible when it comes to an Education.
While residents (People who are here legally, Born and raised by legal parents) Must still get their education the Hard way, Student loans and out of pocket monies.

If you are not a resident of a State, you pay more in tuition, in some cases if you are not a resident of the same county as the school you pay more in tuition, why the hell should anyone not even a legal resident of this country get a free ride ?

To me that is a little backwards, the spin of fairness is not so fair when you are discriminating against another people, Especially the people who pay the Taxes in this country and the people who pay that Jackass of a Gov Jerry Browns Payroll !

It is sad to see Americans thrown under the bus while America is Handed over to another country that can't even take care of its own !

Imperial Valley Press
Undocumented students’ access to higher education increased Monday as Gov. Jerry Brown signed part of the California DREAM Act into legislation.

Brown signed AB130, which allows college students that illegally entered the U.S. to receive privately funded scholarships/financial aid. DREAM is an acronym for Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors.

Bill author Assemblyman Gilbert Cedillo, D-Los Angles, was in attendance at the signing during a DREAM Act Town Hall at Los Angeles City College.

“Public education is the lifeblood of our democracy,” Cedillo said. “Public education in this great state and this great nation is the equalizer of our society.”

The legislation primarily applies to AB540 students who are from out of the state or country, graduated from a California high school and attended it for at least three years.

Brown cited California’s rising population and that 50 percent of babies born in California are born into low-income situations as reasons to invest in more educational opportunities.

“Today, signing this DREAM Act is another piece of investment in people, because people are what drive the culture, the economy, the state and our country,” Brown said.

U.S. probe to look at border concerns of Muslims

Not that any Muslims that lives in Metro Detroit aren't rude and Obnoxious people to any one other than a Muslim!
Not that Detroit area Muslims like many other Muslims around the world, act like there is never any terrorism coming from Islam!
Not that because of what some Muslims did on 9/11 has not changed how we need to be, and a continuing threat from Muslims trying to come into the United States to commit acts of terrorism cause us to be cautious as to protect everyone, (Including Muslims)

I find that usually the people that are constantly "Checked" by immigration and customs, are very rude and uncooperative to begin with!
Its not like any Muslim would ever try to make a point out of a situation that they created.

The Detroit Free Press
The U.S. government has launched an investigation into allegations that federal agents at several U.S.-Canada border crossings in Michigan repeatedly harassed, jailed and body searched Muslims because of their background or appearance.

In a letter sent this week to a local Muslim group, Margo Schlanger, the head of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties in the Department of Homeland Security, said her office has received accounts of "repeated handcuffing, brandishing of weapons, prolonged detentions, invasive and humiliating body searches at the border, and inappropriate questioning that pertains to religion and religious practices."

The complaints include incidents at the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel, the Ambassador Bridge in Detroit and the Blue Water Bridge in Port Huron.

The investigation comes in response to complaints filed in March by the Council on American-Islamic Relations with the Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security.

The council said it was concerned that agents were even asking people about their prayer schedules.

Superman Renounces His U.S. Citizenship

"Superman has always been bigger than the United States. In an age rife with immigration paranoia, it’s refreshing to see an alien refugee tell the United States that it’s as important to him as any other country on Earth -- which, in turn, is as important to Superman as any other planet in the multiverse,"

Yeah but does he have to denounce his Citizenship to do it or are the writers of Superman just a bunch of liberal ass clowns that are slightley Anti American And pro Illegal Immigration?

If this is the Case and we are gonna see another American Super Hero torn down Because of Ignorant political correctness, Then Superman can Get the F out with the rest of the Bunch.

This is the country Immigrants strive to come too, that does not mean you have to hate America to do it! Try being a part of the country you wish to live in, try getting along like normal people, it is O.K. to be proud of where you come from but you should also be proud of where you choose to Live!

Foxnews
Superman is no longer an American.

In Action Comics’ new record-breaking 900th issue, the iconic super hero renounces his U.S citizenship following a clash with the federal government.

The Man of Steel, created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster in 1938, has always been recognized as a devoted American warrior who constantly fought evil, but as of Thursday, he is no longer the country's own to claim.

"I intend to speak before the United Nations tomorrow and inform them that I am renouncing my U.S. citizenship," he says in a cell in the issue. "I'm tired of having my actions construed as instruments of U.S. policy."

Superman even questions his longtime motto: "Truth, justice and the American way."

Immigrant Gets More Than 34 Years in Prison for Running Over Westernized Daughter

A more correct headline would be,

"Pathetic POS Muslim Convicted of Honor Killing"

But that would be to close to the truth of the matter.
Either way, the Islamic Nitwit will spend 34 1/2 Years behind bars, Why 34 1/2 ? why not sentenced to life? How about that Death Penalty thing?
Who am I kidding, there are to many limp wristed liberal assclowns in this country to do that! After all He is a Muslim! That's like the Religion Of Peace; or something like that.

Foxnews
PHOENIX -- An Iraqi immigrant has been sentenced to 34 1/2 years in an Arizona prison for running over his daughter because she became too Westernized.

Faleh Hassan Almaleki was convicted of second-degree murder in the October 2009 death of his 20-year-old daughter, Noor Almaleki.

A jury also found the 50-year-old guilty of aggravated assault for running over the mother of Noor's boyfriend and two counts of leaving the scene of an accident.

A Maricopa County Superior Court judge told Almaleki that forgiveness is the core of all religion and was struck by his lack of remorse for the killing.

Mexico plans immigration shake-up

The hardships migrants face in Mexico have long been a source of discomfort for a country that lobbies hard for better treatment of its own immigrants in the United States.

And all we need to do is tighten our border with Mexico, and Mexico will become its own country again!

Foxnews
Mexico plans a shake-up of its corruption-ridden immigration institute, officials said, after a year that saw some of the worst atrocities against illegal migrants trekking through the country — including the mass slaughter of 72 Central and South Americans trying to reach the United States.

The dismissals early this week will include several top directors of the National Institute for Migration, according to two government officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the decision has not been made public.

The government of President Felipe Calderon also plans to reform practices that have led to omissions, oversights and acts of corruption, though the officials didn't provide details.

The hardships migrants face in Mexico have long been a source of discomfort for a country that lobbies hard for better treatment of its own immigrants in the United States.

The shake-up comes less than two weeks after El Salvador reported the kidnapping of 50 migrants from a train in the southern Mexican state of Oaxaca.

Muslims should conform to German values

Hmmm, Some slightly differing points of view in Germany

Germany had freedom of religion, and Islam was welcome, "but it must be a form of Islam that feels devoted to our fundamental values", Merkel said. If it were not, fears would develop among Germans, "and that is hardly something we want to happen".

Hindustantimes
German Chancellor Angela Merkel demanded on Monday that Muslims living in Germany conform to "fundamental German values", saying there was no leeway on the issue. She spoke a day after Germany's largely ceremonial president, Christian Wulff, had reached out to Muslims in a speech marking 20 years
of reunification, assuring them they belonged.

Wulff's remarks were welcomed by one of the country's main Islamic groups, the Central Council of Muslims.

The Christian Democrat chancellor, in remarks promoting a fiercely conservative book by one of her supporters, said Muslims in Germany must orient themselves without reservation to Germany's fundamental values and constitution.

"There is no leeway on this," she said, adding that Germans' perceptions of Islam were dominated by Sharia (Islamic law), the lack of equality between men and women and honour killings.

Dutch close in on government with anti-Islam party backing

Geert "The Man" Wilders , is ready to stir things up in the Dutch Parliament , Once the Coalition of Minority Parties takes over !

(Reuters) - Pushing an austerity agenda, two right-leaning Dutch parties agreed Friday to have talks to form a minority government with support from an anti-Islam party five months after the last government collapsed.

The minority government -- a rarity in Dutch politics -- would include the Liberal Party (VVD), which narrowly won June 9 elections after a broader government collapsed over the Afghan military mission, and the Christian Democrats (CDA).

The Freedom Party (PVV), which wants to stop Muslim immigration and ban the Koran in the Netherlands, has agreed to back the minority government in the Dutch parliament, leader Geert Wilders said on Dutch NOS Radio 1.

The Christian Democrats had resisted forming a majority government with the PVV because of its hardline stance on Islam.

But Christian Democratic leader Maxime Verhagen said he was convinced the CDA and VVD could reach a pact that would do justice to CDA principles of freedom of religion and education.

"At the same time it is possible to come to a stable political cooperation which can have PVV's support," he told Dutch radio.

US-Mexico tensions heightened after US Border Patrol agent kills Mexican teen near El Paso

See what happens when you throw rocks !
especially when you throw them at a Federal Border Patrol agent !

But of course it was not the rock throwers fault .

Foxnews
CIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico (AP) — Mexicans are seething over the second death of a countryman at the hands of U.S. Border Patrol agents in two weeks, an incident near downtown El Paso that is threatening to escalate tensions over migrant issues.

U.S. authorities said Tuesday a Border Patrol agent was defending himself and colleagues when he fatally shot the 15-year-old as officers came under a barrage of big stones while trying to detain illegal immigrants on the U.S. side of the Rio Grande.

About 30 relatives and friends gathered late Tuesday to mourn Sergio Adrian Hernandez Huereka, whose shooting Monday evening came along the border with Texas. He died on the Mexican side of the river.

"Damn them! Damn them!" sobbed Rosario Hernandez, sister of the dead teenager, at a wake in the family's two-room adobe house on the outskirts of Ciudad Juarez.

Preliminary reports on the incident indicated that U.S. officers on bicycle patrol "were assaulted with rocks by an unknown number of people," Border Patrol Special Operations Supervisor Ramiro Cordero said Tuesday.

"During the assault at least one agent discharged his firearm," he said. "The agent is currently on administrative leave. A thorough, multi-agency investigation is currently ongoing."

Obama to send troops, bolster border security

Wha Wha What ?
Send the National Gaurd to thee Border ? To Help out and Protect us ?
WTF Is going on ?
Of course it is really not enough to really do anything , but we will Take it .
I guess it is a start , I just feel funny about it you know , Like I should be waiting for the sharp driving pain of a Knife about the middle of my back , Kinda the same one I get every April 15th .

WASHINGTON, May 25 (Reuters) - President Barack Obama will seek $500 million for security and send up to 1,200 National Guard troops to the U.S.-Mexican border, an administration official said on Tuesday, after demands from both Republicans and Democrats for more federal resources along the frontier.

The announcement comes as the Democratic president seeks Republican support for a sweeping overhaul of U.S. immigration laws, and seeks to rally opposition to a tough new immigration law in Arizona that has caused tension in U.S. relations with Mexico, without seeming soft on illegal border crossings.

The troops will provide intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance support, intelligence analysis, immediate support to counternarcotics enforcement and training capacity until the Customs and Border Patrol agency can recruit and train more border officers and agents, the official said.

The funds will be used to enhance technology at the border and share information and support between law enforcement agencies as they target illegal trafficking in people, drugs, weapons and money.

Study shows broad support for Arizona migrant law

Soooooo , Again we have a large majority of U.S. Citizens are in support of Arizona Clamping down on Illegal Immigration .
Sounds about right to me , With the exception of a few Certain Democratic Politicians and Of course your standard people who benefit from USING migrant workers , The only ones really Bitching About this law would be the Illegal Immigrant's .
Sorry people but you must Abide by the Law !
But with Obama in Charge I'm sure we will have some sort of Amnesty for Illegals Crammed down our throats , just like the Healthcare reform !

(Reuters) - A solid majority of Americans back Arizona's tough crackdown on illegal immigrants, while just 25 percent support President Barack Obama's immigration policy which includes legalizing millions of unauthorized migrants, a study found on Wednesday.

The controversial Arizona law passed last month requires state and local police, after making "lawful contact," to check the immigration status of anyone they reasonably suspect is in the country illegally, and arrest those who cannot prove it.

The report by the Pew Research Center for the People and the Press (www.people-press.org) found that 59 percent of adults polled in a national survey gave their overall approval to the law, which opponents charge is unconstitutional and a mandate for racial profiling.

Seventy-three percent said they backed a measure requiring people to produce documents verifying their legal status if police ask for them, while 67 percent approve of allowing police to detain anyone who cannot verify that they are in the country legally.

The new law has pushed a debate over immigration to the fore in U.S. politics, and rebooted a drive by Obama and Senate Democrats to overhaul federal immigration laws -- although it is seen as a longshot before November congressional elections.

Obama supports a system allowing undocumented immigrants in good standing to pay a fine, learn English and become citizens. He also backs tightening border security and clamping down on employers that hire undocumented workers.

The survey, carried out among 994 adults -- found that only 25 percent supported Obama's handling of immigration policy, while more than twice as many -- 54 percent -- said they disapproved.

What will Washington do about the Arizona immigration law? Or Obama Says What ?

“Our failure to act responsibly at the federal level will only open the door to irresponsibility by others,”

That's Right , The Obamasiah does it again , He makes it clear that We or the State political systems We have are Irresponsible in their actions to Govern the States as we see fit !

Only the Federal Government can be so responsible , to do so !

Mr. Obama , Just because you Are the President , it does not make you Better than anyone else !

What is Irresponsible About wanting to know who a person is ? When we get pulled over by the Police , we must show our Drivers License !
We don't like doing it , But it is the Law !

When did Common sense (Showing legal I.D.) become Irresponsible !

The Christian Science Monitor
Washington
Immigration has shot to center stage in Washington, following the signing Friday by Gov. Jan Brewer (R) of Arizona of legislation that makes it a state crime to be in the United States illegally. The law also requires Arizona police officers to question people about their immigration status if there is cause for suspicion.

It is being called the toughest legislation against illegal immigration in the country.

At the signing ceremony in Phoenix, Governor Brewer defended what she called her “unwavering signature” on the bill, despite concerns that the new law could result in racial profiling and other violations of civil liberties.

Arizona, which borders on Mexico, has long struggled with illegal immigration. Brewer discussed “border-related violence and crime due to illegal immigration,” but added that she had worked with legislators to strengthen civil-rights protections in the bill.

Brewer also blamed Washington for failing to address the immigration crisis in the US, where estimates of the undocumented immigrant population range from 12 million to 20 million.

“We in Arizona have been more than patient waiting for Washington to act,” Brewer said. “But decades of inaction and misguided policy have created a dangerous and unacceptable situation.”

Arizona Immigration Enforcement Bill Stirs National Debate

Illegal Immigration makes everyone angry , you get to a point where you just can't take it anymore .

"When do we stand up for Americans and America? Enough is enough," he told Fox News on Tuesday. "Arizona has become ground zero. We're number two in the world in kidnapping. ... We're not taking it anymore. We're going to enforce our laws, with compassion."

And with the drug wars escalating way out of hand on the Borders , things will get worse !

It seems that to some in the U.S. it is shameful to be an American , and everything about illegal Immigration is good , if you are an illegal , people think you deserve more than everyone else !

And what is wrong with making the Running of illegal aliens A crime ?
Coyotes that transport illegals are abusive murdering Human rights violators of the worst Kind .

Some U.S. politicians want to give all illegal immigrants Amnesty , it ain't right and it is not fair , but how else are those in favor of this , to get all those VOTES ?

Foxnews
An Arizona bill that would impose some of the toughest immigration laws in the country is generating a storm of controversy nationwide as it tracks toward the governor's desk.

The Arizona Senate voted Monday to approve the final version of the bill, which was voted up on a party-line vote by the state House last Tuesday. If it's signed by Gov. Jan Brewer, it would give police in the state broad new powers to arrest and charge people suspected of being in the country illegally.

The legislation
has attracted widespread attention, with some accusing the state of sanctioning a racial profiling program that flies in the face of residents' civil rights.

Most recently, the head of the nation's largest archdiocese said the bill would encourage "German Nazi and Russian Communist techniques."

Cardinal Roger Mahony, who heads the Los Angeles archdiocese, made the comments in his blog Sunday, a day before the Arizona Legislature passed the bill.

Rep. Luis Gutierrez, D-Ill., also led a press conference Tuesday on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., to denounce the proposal and call on the federal government
to put pressure on Arizona officials not to enforce it.

"The president needs to say on immigration laws, the Constitution is clear we preempt all state laws," he said.

The bill contains several provisions. Among them, it would create a new state misdemeanor crime for failing to carry alien registration documents; allow officers to arrest immigrants unable to show documents proving their legal residence; allow people to sue if they feel a government agency has adopted a policy that hinders immigration enforcement; prohibit people from blocking traffic when they seek or offer day labor services on street corners; and make it illegal for people to knowingly transport illegal immigrants.

But in the absence of a federal immigration overhaul, some are coming down in support of the proposal.

Republican Sen. John McCain, who is in a tight race against primary challenger J.D. Hayworth in Arizona, has come out in favor of the bill, despite co-authoring a bill four years ago with the late Sen. Ted Kennedy that was derided by some as amnesty.

Arizona state Sen. Russell Pearce, who is sponsoring the measure, dismissed claims that the bill would lead to arbitrary profiling and said the bill is needed to help Arizona deal with rampant crime. He cited the recent killing of local rancher Robert Krentz by a suspected illegal immigrant.

"When do we stand up for Americans and America? Enough is enough," he told Fox News on Tuesday. "Arizona has become ground zero. We're number two in the world in kidnapping. ... We're not taking it anymore. We're going to enforce our laws, with compassion."

Kerry lends support to immigration marchers

But Mr. Kerry , We don't want People from other countries coming here at will and getting more help and benefits than we do , and with the economy the way it is jobs are scarce anyways so we don't want non citizens coming here to take those jobs that us Citizens are fighting for !

Boston.com

US Senator John Kerry expressed support today for about 1,500 Massachusetts immigrants and advocates who are heading to Washington D.C. to call for immigration reform.

"You deserve more than the empty rhetoric and impractical calls for mass deportation we see from opponents of comprehensive immigration reform," Kerry said today in a statement.

The Massachusetts marchers planned to join with tens of thousands of others on the National Mall on Sunday.

The marchers, who are demonstrating the same day as a historic health care vote in the House, are hoping to call attention to an issue they say has been neglected for the past year.

"We were very excited when President Obama talked about the importance of immigration reform and how his administration was working hard on the subject back in June," said Frank Soults, communications director for the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition, "but although he's made several statements, there hasn't been anything put forward in Congress yet."

Obama has promised to build bipartisan support for immigration reform, even though it's classically been seen as a divisive partisan issue.

On Friday, in an op-ed piece in The Washington Post, two leading senators, New York Democrat Charles Schumer and South Carolina Republican Lindsey Graham, outlined a new reform proposal intended to fix what they called a "badly broken" system.

The two senators said Americans overwhelmingly oppose illegal immigration and support legal immigration. They called for requiring high-tech Social Security cards to ensure that illegal workers cannot get jobs; strengthening border security; creating a process for admitting temporary workers; and implementing a "path to legalization" for those already here.
