Five Gun Salute . or How to Play Politics with the Constitution

Reading more about this I think I'm in the line of Confused along with many others out there .

Politics is Politics , but WTF ? when you read the 2nd Amendment of the Bill of rights , it is plain and simple what it says ,

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed."

More specifically the part where it says " the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed." Hmmmm Sounds pretty simple to me , but obviously it is not so simple .

and as I said earlier this is not over yet , the liberal ass clowns want a bigger showdown , they are betting on someone like Kagan , to be appointed to the supreme court to further push their agenda of total domination of us Little people .

so in a way we have won , it is our right to keep and bear arms , but it is the liberals right now to also take it away !

Did not Hitler kinda do the same thing ?

FBI breaks up alleged Russian spy ring in deep cover

The Russians aare coming the Russians are coming ...
Oh Damn , they were already here !

This is nice you know , Russian spies living here in the U.S. with one thing in mind , Changing the Policies of the U.S.

Yes it is Bullshit , Yes we have probably done the same thing , so what you gonna do ?

Well I would start with letting Obama Know that You should ALWAYS keep your guard up ! Especially when it comes to Communists ! Even when they are acting like your BFF , they have a Knife right at your Back !

GaurdianUK
The FBI has arrested 10 alleged Russian spies and broken up a "long-term, deep cover" network of agents across America's east coast sent to infiltrate policy making circles.

The cracking of the alleged spy ring, the largest discovered in the US since the collapse of communism, came days after Barack Obama praised Dmitry Medvedev, Russia's president, at the White House as a "solid and reliable partner".

In a charge sheet that might have been taken from a cold war thriller, the FBI alleges that the Russian intelligence service, the SVR, had sent the 10 spies, and possibly many more, to live in the US many years ago under false names, with the intent of becoming so Americanised they could gather information without raising suspicion. Some of the agents lived as married couples.

The FBI said that it intercepted SVR messages, sent by "Moscow centre", to two of the accused spies.

"You were sent to USA for long-term service trip. Your education, your bank accounts, car, house, etc – all these serve one goal: fulfil your main mission, ie, to search and develop ties in policymaking circles in US and send intels (intelligence reports) to C (Centre)," the intercepted message said, according to the indictment. The FBI does not give any indication as to how successful the alleged agents were.

The arrests were made at Arlington in Virginia, near the Pentagon and CIA headquarters, and in New York, Boston and New Jersey. The justice department said one other alleged spy was being sought.

All the 10 have been charged with conspiracy to act as an agent of a foreign government. They face up to five years in prison if convicted, although it is possible that more serious charges will be added.

The alleged spies are also accused of money laundering, which carries lengthy prison sentences.

US Supreme Court extends gun rights

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed."

Shall not Be Infringed ! Duh !

It is about time this has been decided , But I bet it is not over .

The BBC
The US Supreme Court has restricted the rights of state and city governments to enforce controls on gun ownership.

The US's highest court ruled by 5-4 that a ban on handgun ownership in Chicago was unconstitutional.

Justices said the US Constitution protected the right to keep and bear arms for the purpose of self-defence.

The ruling could potentially change laws on gun ownership in many of the US states.

Debate over the exact meaning of the constitutional right to keep and bear arms has raged for years in the US.

The ammendment reads: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed."

Two years ago, the court ruled a ban on handguns in Washington DC was unconstitutional - declaring that the Second Amendment protects an individual's right to possess guns, at least for purposes of self-defence in the home.

But Washington is a federal city, with a unique legal standing. Gun rights proponents almost immediately filed a federal lawsuit challenging gun control laws in Chicago, Illinois, and its suburb of Oak Park, where handguns have been banned for nearly 30 years.

In Monday's ruling on that challenge the justices said the Second Amendment right "applies equally to the federal government and the states".

Nothing ever gets done at these summits , it is just a big Mental happy ending for everyone involved , and a lot of greif for the world because of it .

VOA
Hundreds of demonstrators protesting the G-20 global economic summit in Toronto broke windows and set fire to some police cars during a noisy march near the site of the summit Saturday. At least 75 (E/N More like 150 ) people are in custody and police say there will be more arrests.

A column of thick black smoke rose from the burning police cars in a chaotic scene that included throngs of police in riot gear and many protesters. Police say some were anarchists, wearing black clothing, including masks.

Toronto Police Chief Bill Blair says his officers were pelted with rocks and bottles, and used teargas to control one large crowd.

He says the violence may not be over.

"I do not believe the individuals bent on vandalism and violence in our city are finished with their intent," Blair said. "And so we will remain vigilant, and we will be on the street all night and all tomorrow in sufficient numbers to deal with these individuals."

Websites deemed sensitive by the government are routinely blocked.

"Soldiers cannot open blogs on the internet no matter (whether) he or she does it in the capacity of a soldier or not," Xinhua quoted Wan Long, a political commissar of the PLA, as saying.

Whats that , Did they say for Blasphemy ?

ahhhh that's a shame , think of all the stuff they will be Missing !

BBC
Pakistan will start monitoring seven major websites, including Google and Yahoo, for content it deems offensive to Muslims.

YouTube, Amazon, MSN, Hotmail and Bing will also come under scrutiny, while 17 less well-known sites will be blocked.

Officials will monitor the sites and block links deemed inappropriate.

In May, Pakistan banned access to Facebook after the social network hosted a "blasphemous" competition to draw the prophet Muhammad.

The new action will see Pakistani authorities monitor content published on the seven sites, blocking individual pages if content is judged to be offensive.

Administration Weighs Bypassing Congress to Let Illegal Immigrants Stay

Deferred action and parole would give illegal immigrants the ability to seek a work permit and temporary legal status.

If you are an American and you are not pissed off about this , you might have some issues .
Why the hell does the Obamasiah think he can just weasel Amnesty for about 15 Million illegals , right under our noses , without a congressional Debate , without a vote , Without a voice of concern from anyone ?

Votes Pure and simple , Give a Bunch of non American Citizens what they have been crying for , And you score about 15 Million votes with it !

Pure UN-AMERICAN BULLSHIT , from the President no less .

Foxnews
The Obama administration has been holding behind-the-scenes talks to determine whether the Department of Homeland Security can unilaterally grant legal status on a mass basis to illegal immigrants, a former Bush administration official who spoke with at least three people involved in those talks told FoxNews.com.

The issue was raised publicly by eight Republican senators who wrote to the White House on Monday to complain that they had heard the administration was readying a "Plan B" in case a comprehensive immigration reform bill cannot win enough support to clear Congress.

The White House would not confirm or deny the claim. It's unclear what section of the illegal immigrant population such a move would target. But the former Bush official said the discussions are real.

"The administration at the very minimum is studying legal ways to legalize people without having to go through any congressional debate about it," the source said, calling the senators' claim credible. "Whether somebody pulls the trigger on that, that's another issue."

Canadian police: Arrest made after car with weapons, gasoline found near G-20 summit

Ah yes the G20 get together .

Once a year the Elite rich Countries of the world get together to discuss what they can do to change the world for us little people .

I could care , but it sure brings out every whacko in the world , it makes for some really good news , screw the world cup , forget Wimbledon , Put on the coverage of G20 .

Foxnews
TORONTO (AP) — Police on heightened alert before a summit of world leaders stopped a car with a large container strapped to its roof and arrested the driver after finding gasoline canisters, a chainsaw, a cross bow, arrows and sledge hammers inside.

The vehicle was flagged because it looked suspicious and unsafe, police said, but there was no evidence that the car was related to the arrival of dignitaries this weekend in Canada's largest city.

"There's quite a various amount of items that, used by the wrong person at the wrong time, was enough that we made the arrest," said police Const. Hugh Smith, after the arrest.

Kenya opens special piracy court in Mombasa

Well it is about Time , Finally (Maybe) they will start putting these Jackass's Away.

BBC
A special court to try suspected pirates has opened in the Kenyan port of Mombasa, funded by international donors.

Pirates based in neighbouring Somalia have made the Gulf of Aden one of the world's most dangerous shipping lanes.

Warships from several world powers now patrol the Indian Ocean but there has been confusion about where those arrested should face justice.

Some 100 suspects are in Kenya and 18 pirates have already been convicted.

Earlier this year, Kenya said it would stop prosecuting piracy cases unless other countries agreed to share the "burden".

Several suspected pirates detained by naval patrols on the high seas were released because of a lack of clarity about where and how to prosecute them.

Mexico Joins Suit Against Arizona's Immigration Law, Citing 'Grave Concerns'

Until recently, Mexican law made illegal immigration a criminal offense -- anyone arrested for the violation could be fined, imprisoned for up to two years and deported. Mexican lawmakers changed that in 2008 to make illegal immigration a civil violation like it is in the United States, but their law still reads an awful lot like Arizona's.

First off Let me say that Pres. Calderon and every Illegal Immigrant along with citizens of Mexico , Who oppose this law , are outright HYPOCRITES !

You all should take care of your own Business in your own Country BEFORE you come here and try to change OUR Laws !

Why Should the United States , Specifically Arizona , Change the Laws to Help NON U.S. Citizens RAPE the Country of Tax Dollars , All the while Mexico is Guilty of the Same F**king Thing ?

It is B.S. like this that will Ensure All Illegal Immigrants Will Be Punished .

Foxnews
Mexico on Tuesday asked a federal court in Arizona to declare the state's new immigration law unconstitutional, arguing that the country's own interests and its citizens' rights are at stake.

Lawyers for Mexico on Tuesday submitted a legal brief in support of one of five lawsuits challenging the law. The law will take effect July 29 unless implementation is blocked by a court.

The law generally requires police investigating another incident or crime to ask people about their immigration status if there's a "reasonable suspicion" they're in the country illegally. It also makes being in Arizona illegally a misdemeanor, and it prohibits seeking day-labor work along the state's streets.

Arizona's policy, which President Felipe Calderon derided during a recent U.S. trip as "discriminatory," states police can't randomly stop people and demand papers, and the law prohibits racial profiling.

Mexican law, however, requires law enforcement officials "to demand that foreigners prove their legal presence in the country before attending to any issues."

Amnesty International recently issued a report claiming illegal immigrants in Mexico -- typically from Central America -- face abuse, rape and kidnappings, and that Mexican police do little to stop it. When illegal immigration was a criminal offense in Mexico, officials were known to seek bribes from suspects to keep them out of jail.

And not only that Mexico's Own people Rape and rob Even Kill Mexican Citizens when bringing them into this Country .

Yeah we Are the Bad people !

Mexican Gangs Maintain Permanent Lookout Bases in Hills of Arizona

WTF? Why the hell is this even allowed to happen ?

The proverbial "Shit" will soon hit the Fan !

Foxnews
Mexican drug cartels have set up shop on American soil, maintaining lookout bases in strategic locations in the hills of southern Arizona from which their scouts can monitor every move made by law enforcement officials, federal agents tell Fox News.

The scouts are supplied by drivers who bring them food, water, batteries for radios -- all the items they need to stay in the wilderness for a long time.

Click here for more on this story from Adam Housley.

“To say that this area is out of control is an understatement," said an agent who patrols the area and asked not to be named. "We (federal border agents), as well as the Pima County Sheriff Office and the Bureau of Land Management, can attest to that.”

Much of the drug traffic originates in the Menagers Dam area, the Vekol Valley, Stanfield and around the Tohono O’odham Indian Reservation. It even follows a natural gas pipeline that runs from Mexico into Arizona.

In these areas, which are south and west of Tucson, sources said there are “cartel scouts galore” watching the movements of federal, state and local law enforcement, from the border all the way up to Interstate 8.

“Every night we’re getting beaten like a pinata at a birthday party by drug, alien smugglers," a second federal agent told Fox News by e-mail. "The danger is out there, with all the weapons being found coming northbound…. someone needs to know about this!”

The agents blame part of their plight on new policies from Washington, claiming it has put a majority of the U.S. agents on the border itself. One agent compared it to a short-yardage defense in football, explaining that once the smugglers and drug-runners break through the front line, they're home free.

Nebraska Town Votes to Banish Illegal Immigrants

The Immigration debate Is really heating up and bringing out the common sense lacking Libtards , who make a killing off of The illegal immigrants in this country !

And Remember , 57% of the people voted this in !

Just ask the question ,
Why is it such a difficult and confusing thing , to want people in this country to be Legal Citizens ?
At the very least have an official , LEGAL , Work Visa !

Why Should everyone in the United states have to carry a Drivers License ,Which is a form of I.D. ,When they drive a car or use a credit card or buy Alcohol and cigarettes ,

When millions of Illegal Immigrants are running around the U.S. Driving cars , Buying Beer and Cigarettes , using (A lot of times ) Illegal Identification ?

Whats the point ?

I Just say to these people , Try Supporting Americans , YOUR NEIGHBORS , Your Kids when they need their first job , Before you start Supporting a few Million Illegal Immigrants .

And 57% Of the people voted for it !

the New York Times
CHICAGO — Residents of a small city in eastern Nebraska voted Monday to banish illegal immigrants from jobs and rental homes, defying an earlier decision by the city’s leaders and setting off what is all but certain to be a costly and closely watched legal challenge.

In Fremont , a meat-packing town of about 25,000 people, unofficial results from The Associated Press late Monday showed that 57 percent of voters approved a referendum barring landlords from renting to those in the country illegally, requiring renters to provide information to the police and to obtain city occupancy licenses, and obliging city businesses to use a federal database to check for illegal immigrants.

Opponents of the new law, including some business and church leaders, had argued that the City of Fremont simply could not afford the new law, which is all but certain to be challenged in court. In a flurry of television commercials and presentations by opponents in the final days before Monday’s vote, opponents said paying to defend such a local law would require a significant cut in Fremont city services or a stiff tax increase — or some combination of the two.

“There were a lot of tears in this room tonight,” said Kristin Ostrom, an opponent who gathered with others in an old V.F.W. building to await the results. “Unfortunately, people have voted for an ordinance that’s going to cost millions of dollars, and that says to the Hispanic community that the Anglo community is saying they are not welcome here. They thought they were coming to a small-town community with small-town values.”

Sorry , That's not what it says , It says that the citizens of Freemont , Want LEGAL U.S. CITIZENS Working and living in their Town !

Cyprus detains 'Sudan-bound arms ship'

The US embassy in Nicosia said Washington was not involved.

Cyprus Does this stuff on their own , The U.S. doesn't need to get involved .

Somebody want's to kick it up a notch in Sudan ? Maybe Darfur ?

BBC
Cyprus has barred a ship carrying military equipment from leaving until inspectors confirm its cargo does not breach UN and EU arms embargos.

Commerce Minister Antonis Paschalides told Cyprus Radio there was "prohibited material" on board the Santiago, such as explosives and military equipment.

The manifest of the vessel says it was sailing to Sudan and Singapore.

The EU bans arms shipments to Sudan, while there is a UN embargo on armed groups in the nation's Darfur region.

Two rounds of north-south civil war since the 1960s have cost the lives of about 1.5 million people.

Meanwhile, a continuing conflict in Darfur has driven more than 2.6 million people from their homes and killed 300,000, according to the UN.

Mr. Shahzad, 30 years old, told the courtroom he would plead guilty "100 times over" until the U.S. pulls its troops from Afghanistan and Pakistan and stops unmanned drone strikes against terror suspects. "I am part of the answer to the U.S. terrorizing the Muslim nations and the Muslim people, and on behalf of that, I'm avenging the attacks," Mr. Shahzad said.

Oh Goody , We have to look forward to more of these Wannabe Turd Farming Taliban Rejects ,Screwing up their Car Bombing attempts throughout the United States .

I mean , luckily this Jackass was unsuccessful in his attempt , but if he thinks His Failed attempt is the Muzzys "Answer" to the U.S. Blowing the Shit out of the Taliban with Hellfire Missiles , He truly is a Moron .

The Wall Street Journal
A Pakistani-born U.S. citizen, calling himself "a Muslim soldier" avenging U.S. attacks in Muslim countries, admitted Monday that he tried to detonate a crudely made car bomb in New York's Times Square in May.

Iran bars two U.N. inspectors in nuclear dispute

As expected , Iran starts it's B.S. and denies U.N. inspectors from entering the country .

Same old bullshit different round of sanctions .

Tomorrow , More of the same .

(Reuters) - Iran has barred two U.N. nuclear inspectors from entering the Islamic Republic, increasing tension less than two weeks after Tehran was hit by new U.N. sanctions over its disputed atomic program.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) rejected Iran's reasons for the ban and said it fully supported the inspectors, which Tehran has accused of reporting wrongly that some nuclear equipment was missing.

"The IAEA has full confidence in the professionalism and impartiality of the inspectors concerned," spokesman Greg Webb said in an unusually blunt statement which described the IAEA's report issued last month as "fully accurate".

U.S. missile strike kills 12 in northwestern Pakistan

Awesome !
Predator Drones firing Hellfire Missiles , never gets old .

Pakistan (Reuters) - A U.S. drone aircraft fired two missiles in Pakistan's North Waziristan region on the Afghan border on Saturday, killing 12 militants, intelligence officials said .

The missile attack took place hours after the U.S. special envoy for Afghanistan and Pakistan, Richard Holbrooke, landed in Islamabad for talks as part of the Pakistan-U.S. strategic dialogue initiated in March.

The drone targeted a suspected militant compound in Sokhel village, about 25 km (16 miles) east of Miranshah, the main town of the region and known as a hotbed of Taliban and al Qaeda militants, the intelligence officials said.

"Twelve militants have been killed and three wounded in the attack on a compound which is linked to Taliban and al Qaeda," one intelligence official told Reuters on condition of anonymity.

A second intelligence official confirmed the account. A resident, Mohammad Rafiq, told Reuters he had seen 11 bodies.

Mexico to hire PR firms to scrub drug war image

Wow , After reading this I'm almost convinced !

But seriously this is a big time Joke , if Calderon thinks he can hide what is going on in Mexico he has become delusional .

But I'm sure the United States will help out by supporting Calderon's effort to Lie to the world of the realities of Mexico !

(Reuters) - Mexican President Felipe Calderon is launching a global public relations campaign to try to improve his country's image and neutralize coverage of the violent drug war scaring away tourists and foreign investors.

Calderon declared all-out war on drug cartels on taking office in late 2006, sending thousands of troops and federal police across Mexico to take on the heavily armed gangs running a multibillion dollar business.

The strategy has so far failed to curb violence and more than 23,000 people have died in drug violence over the past 3-1/2 years. Daily images of gruesome decapitations, charred and tortured bodies hung from bridges and brazen daytime shootouts are commonplace on the front pages of newspapers and evening news broadcasts.

Calderon, a strong-willed conservative, says he is turning to private advertising firms to launch an international image improvement campaign to show the world another, less violent side of Mexico, a country that depends on some 20 million tourists a year to boost its public finances.

Mexican army kills 15 suspected drug gang members

The killings are forcing some investors to freeze investment in Mexican factories on the U.S. border and scaring off tourists from beach resorts.

Hmmmm , I wonder why ?

Would you visit Acapulco with your family when they are frequently finding headless bodies everywhere ?

How about visiting any of the border states where almost daily gun battles break out on the streets ?

(Reuters) - Fifteen suspected drug gang members were killed in a shootout with Mexican soldiers on Tuesday in western Mexico in the latest fatal clash between warring cartels and federal forces.

Suspected drug hitmen attacked soldiers who intended to inspect a cartel safe house in the colonial town of Taxco southwest of Mexico City. Soldiers returned fire, killing the assailants in a 40-minute gunfight, the Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The clash followed an ambush by gunmen on a federal police convoy in the western state of Michoacan on Monday that killed 10 officers.

2 in Custody at Florida Air Force Base

What idiots .
It takes a lot of nerve to try and do something as stupid as this .
Obviously these two just wanted to go shoot some guns with the US Military , maybe hang out a little while ,you know , have a good time !

NYTimes
A man and a woman were taken into custody Monday evening after they tried to gain unauthorized access to MacDill Air Force Base outside Tampa, Fla., and weapons were found in their vehicle, military officials said.

The base is home to the United States Central Command, which oversees the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

The pair tried to enter the base around 5 p.m. through the base’s Bayshore Boulevard gate, said Senior Airman Katherine B. Holt, a spokeswoman for the base. When they were unable to show proper identification, their vehicle was inspected and security personnel found military-style weapons and gear inside, officials said.

Members of the base’s fire department and an explosives unit were summoned, but no explosives were found, the base said in a statement. Later, officials said the Bayshore gate was closed, as it normally is at night, and the rest of the base was operating normally.

UPDATE...Mexico prison gang fighting kills 29

At this rate someday there won't be anyone left to kill !
And notice how they never question how the inmates got the guns ? We are talking about assault rifles here !

BBC
A clash between rival gangs in a prison in Mexico's north-western state of Sinaloa has left 29 inmates dead.

The killings brought the number of dead on another day of apparent drug-related violence to more than 40.

In the western state of Michoacan, 12 police officers died in an ambush by suspected drug cartel gunmen.

Michoacan and Sinaloa are home to rival drug gangs that are fighting turf wars and battling security forces.

Officials said 18 inmates had died in the Mazatlan jail in Sinaloa when members of one gang armed with pistols and an assault rifle forced their way into a cell-block holding prisoners from a rival gang and began shooting.

Eleven others had been stabbed to death as fighting broke out in other parts of the prison, they said.

Muslims to Rebuild World Trade Center ?

WTF ? is going on in our country , Fox news puts out a report that Saudi Arabia And the United Arab Emirates are on the list of top Bidders to rebuild ground Zero !

Not Much is being said about this and hopefully it does not go unnoticed .

No Muslim involvement of any kind should be used to rebuild the World Trade Center (The Freedom Tower ) and there should be no Mosques built anywhere near Ground Zero !

Foxnews
Fox News reports exclusively that a company owned by the royal families of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates is bidding to help build One World Trade Center. The hijackers who pulled off the Sept. 11 attacks primarily came from these two countries, and each nation has been linked to Al Qaeda. Should this company be allowed to bid on the WTC project?
84% of 15,000 polled so far Say it is not a good idea

Here is a nice article last month on ONE of the Two Mosques planned for the area surrounding Ground Zero and the meaning behind the name Cordoba and what it stands for in the Muslim world And the United States.

From Memri

"In these days, the issue of the Muslim decision to build a mosque near the place where the crime of the cowardly September 11 terrorist attacks took place has come up. We must note that a hostile and provocative name [Cordoba] has been chosen for this mosque. It is well known that the first Cordoba Mosque was built by Muslims in a city in Spain, after they occupied this Christian country, killing its men and capturing its women to bring them to Arab countries as slaves and servants to serve their sexual pleasure. The Arabs and Muslims have never ceased to take pride and bask in the glory of this imperialist history, which they consider to be a symbol of their strength and power, and they are unashamed of the fact that the annals [of their history] are full of shameful crimes.

"Today, it seems as though some Muslims in America are enamored of the dream of bringing back this ugly imperialist Muslim history, which is based on occupying peaceful peoples, on trying to force them to change their religious beliefs by the sword, on killing the men, and on abducting the women from their homes and bringing them to their own countries. Choosing the name 'Cordoba House' for the mosque to be constructed in New York was not coincidental or random and innocent. It bears within it significance and dreams of expansion and invasion [into the territory] of the other, [while] striving to change his religion and to subjugate him…

New York Times Bans 'Tweet'

Pretty funny how a Major Newspaper , Ban's a word used in peoples everyday life .

Sounds like somebody is a little jealous !

Foxnews
The New York Times writers were warned not to use the word "tweet," Sky News reported Friday.

As the use of Twitter continues to grow, words like "tweet" and "twittering" have increasingly cropped into everyday use.

But editor of The New York Times, Phil Corbett, said it was unacceptable.

He sent a memo to writers Wednesday telling them not to use the T-word, which he called "inherently silly."

"Some social-media fans may disagree, but outside of ornithological contexts, 'tweet' has not yet achieved the status of standard English," Corbett said in the memo, obtained by website The Awl. "And standard English is what we should use in news articles."

"Except for special effect, we try to avoid colloquialisms, neologisms and jargon. And 'tweet' — as a noun or a verb, referring to messages on Twitter — is all three."

The word tweet appeared 18 times in article in The New York Times in the past month, which prompted Corbett to put his foot down.

Exoplanet spotted in motion around its 'sun'

Always something new being found out in the field of Astronomy .

Beta Pictoris b, a gas giant about nine times the mass of Jupiter, is one of only a few to be detected by direct imaging.

BBC

Astronomers say they have followed, for the first time, an extra-solar planet in orbit around a young white star.

The team used the European Southern Observatory's Very Large Telescope (VLT) in Chile to track the motion of a gas giant Beta Pictoris b.

The planet's "sun" is also believed to be the youngest star to host a planet.

The find shows that Jupiter-like giants can form near stars in much shorter time-spans than previously thought, the scientists report in Science journal.

Astronomers have so far spotted some 450 extra-solar planets (exoplanets).

Ahmadinejad says Israel is 'doomed'

Israel Doomed ?
Time to sing the Doom song now .

AFP
SHANGHAI — Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Friday Israel was "doomed" and singled out US President Barack Obama for scorn after the UN agreed a fresh round of nuclear sanctions against his country.

Speaking during a visit to the World Expo in Shanghai, Ahmadinejad denounced the UN Security Council's sanctions resolution adopted Wednesday with Chinese and Russian backing as "worthless paper".

The firebrand leader accused global nuclear powers of "monopolising" atomic technology and said the new sanctions would "have no effect".

Mexico arrests Los Zetas gang 'leader' in Monterrey

As usual with an arrest like this , the rest of the gang goes berzerk on the streets , and the backlash will probably continue for awhile .

I'm Still not planning any trips to Mexico anytime soon !

BBC
An alleged leader of one of Mexico's most powerful and violent drug cartels has been arrested, security forces say.

Hector Raul Luna Luna is said to be the head of the Los Zetas gang in the north-eastern city of Monterrey, Mexico's third largest city.

Officials said on Wednesday he was captured by soldiers in a suburb of the city, which is a key industrial hub.

In response, gunmen hijacked cars and temporarily set up at least 10 roadblocks in Monterrey.

Convoys of armed men also attacked police stations, according to local reports.

The Ministry of Defence said Hector Raul Luna Luna was responsible for assaults on Mexican soldiers and a 2008 failed grenade attack on the US consulate in Monterrey, the Associated Press reports.

Surge for Dutch anti-Islam Freedom Party

It is Probably a safe bet that Muslims within the netherlands Will soon be facing a lot more Bans than they ever have .

Mr Wilders has campaigned to stop the "Islamisation of the Netherlands".

He wants the Koran banned, and has suggested a tax on headscarves worn by Muslim women.

BBC
A Dutch anti-Islam party has more than doubled its seats in parliament in a national vote, though it is unclear if it will take part in a coalition.

Freedom Party leader Geert Wilders said he wanted to be part of government.

The election saw the centre-right Liberal Party (VVD) emerging as the largest party, one seat ahead of the centre-left Labour Party.

The Christian Democrat party of outgoing Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende suffered a big defeat.

Weeks of coalition negotiations are expected to follow the election.

With more than 99% of votes counted, the VVD had 31 of 150 seats, while Labour had 30.

As the party with the most seats, VVD leader Mark Rutte could now become the first prime minister from his political camp since World War I.
Headscarf tax

The unexpected big winner was the anti-Islam Freedom Party, the PVV, which took its number of seats from nine in the last parliament to 24 - its best-ever finish.

The campaign had been dominated by a debate over the economy, which was thought to have eclipsed immigration as an election issue.

Many would not view the Freedom Party as an acceptable partner in a coalition.

Its leader, Geert Wilders, faces a criminal trial later this year on charges of inciting hatred and discrimination with his anti-Islamic film Fitna.

It is expected that the most likely coalition would be a left-right combination, known as a Purple Coalition - with the Liberals, Labour, and the smaller Green Left and Liberal Democrats.

But coalition talks can take weeks.

But the strong showing for the Freedom Party, led by the controversial Geert Wilders, is a sign that immigration was still a powerful theme, correspondents say.

Mr Wilders has campaigned to stop the "Islamisation of the Netherlands".

He wants the Koran banned, and has suggested a tax on headscarves worn by Muslim women.

"Nobody in The Hague can bypass the PVV anymore," he said on Thursday, AFP news agency reported. "We want to be part of the new government."

US-Mexico tensions heightened after US Border Patrol agent kills Mexican teen near El Paso

See what happens when you throw rocks !
especially when you throw them at a Federal Border Patrol agent !

But of course it was not the rock throwers fault .

Foxnews
CIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico (AP) — Mexicans are seething over the second death of a countryman at the hands of U.S. Border Patrol agents in two weeks, an incident near downtown El Paso that is threatening to escalate tensions over migrant issues.

U.S. authorities said Tuesday a Border Patrol agent was defending himself and colleagues when he fatally shot the 15-year-old as officers came under a barrage of big stones while trying to detain illegal immigrants on the U.S. side of the Rio Grande.

About 30 relatives and friends gathered late Tuesday to mourn Sergio Adrian Hernandez Huereka, whose shooting Monday evening came along the border with Texas. He died on the Mexican side of the river.

"Damn them! Damn them!" sobbed Rosario Hernandez, sister of the dead teenager, at a wake in the family's two-room adobe house on the outskirts of Ciudad Juarez.

Preliminary reports on the incident indicated that U.S. officers on bicycle patrol "were assaulted with rocks by an unknown number of people," Border Patrol Special Operations Supervisor Ramiro Cordero said Tuesday.

"During the assault at least one agent discharged his firearm," he said. "The agent is currently on administrative leave. A thorough, multi-agency investigation is currently ongoing."

North Korean border guard 'shoots three Chinese dead'

Once again North Korea whacks out and offs some people from another country , but this time it is some Chinese citizens .
Not that China really cares , this is a practice that has been in place for a long time !

BBC
China says a North Korean border guard shot and killed three people near the countries' border last week.

A fourth person was reportedly injured in the incident near the north-eastern border town of Dandong.

China has made a formal complaint to North Korea, a spokesman for the Chinese foreign ministry said.

The two countries are considered to be close allies and Beijing rarely makes any public criticism of its isolated neighbour.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang told a regular news conference in Beijing that the four residents of Dandong, in Liaoning province, had been shot "on suspicion of crossing the border for trade activities".

"China attaches great importance to that and has immediately raised a solemn representation with the DPRK," he said, using North Korea's full name (Democratic People's Republic of Korea).

US says 12 Americans in custody in Yemen; hints at link to anti-terror campaign

Man , What is with the Yemeni , American connection here ?
I would have to imagine , in light of these recent "Un-coverings" of Americans associated with AL Qaida , in Yemen , It is a Bitch to get through Airport Security from now on , when your Passport has Yemen Stamped on it !

Foxnews
WASHINGTON (AP) — Yemeni authorities have 12 Americans in custody, and the arrests may be linked to a joint U.S.-Yemeni anti-terror campaign, a State Department spokesman said Monday.

The spokesman, P.J. Crowley, declined to provide details about the case, except to say the State Department is aware of the arrests and is seeking more information about the individuals being held.

Last Wednesday, Yemeni security officials said authorities had detained several foreigners, including Americans, Britons and an Australian woman, in connection with an investigation into al-Qaida's increased activity in the country.

The arrests reported last week were made after foreign intelligence agencies provided lists of names of people they wanted to have detained or put under surveillance, according to two Yemeni security officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they are not permitted to brief journalists.

It was not immediately clear whether the 12 Americans cited by Crowley were among those reported to have been rounded up last week, but Crowley suggested there may be an anti-terrorism connection.

McDonald's recalls 12 mln Shrek-themed glasses

From Bloomberg Businessweek
The recall doesn’t affect the U.K., the company’s British press office said in an e-mailed statement today. McDonald’s is not running the promotion in Asia, its China office said in an e-mailed reply to Bloomberg questions.

First guess , they are made in China , The company Arc International of Millville, N.J , Is an American Company , and probably were not aware that their Chinese goods were being contaminated with Cadmium .

If they were made in China , then the upper quote tells a lot to my Theory that China is trying to poison us from the Inside out ! Literally .

Market Watch
the Oak Brook, Ill., burger chain, will recall 12 million U.S.-made collectible drinking glasses themed on the movie character Shrek because the painted design on the glasses contains cadmium, media reports say. McDonald's outlets are selling the glasses for about $2 each as part of a promotion for the new movie "Shrek Forever After," the reports say. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall early Friday and warned consumers to stop using the glasses, the reports say. The Associated Press reported that the glasses were produced by Arc International of Millville, N.J. Cadmium, which the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration says on its website is extremely toxic, is used in producing paint and coatings, batteries and other products.

Canada unveils arsenal for anti-G20 protests

The devices look harmless enough, like a large, home stereo speaker that can be strapped to an officer's chest. Protest groups say they should not be allowed because the sound can be turned to as loud as 146 decibels .

Another year , another big G20 riot .
I like this loud speaker tactic , they don't need to turn it up all the way , just to the the point that it makes the protesters really sick , like wanting to puke and have uncontrollable bowel movements !
Now that would be good fun.

Ontario (Reuters) - Canada on Thursday unveiled the arsenal it will use against protesters who get out of hand at two global summits later this month, promising riot police armed with guns, shields, Tasers and super-high-volume loudspeakers.

Toronto police said their new Long Range Acoustic Device would help them communicate with roaring protesters from as far as 250 meters (820 feet) away. When turned to full volume, the devices can emit enough sound to damage eardrums.

"This is not a weapon," said Constable Wendy Drummond, a spokeswoman for the Integrated Security Unit that will provide security for the two summits. "It is a communications tool. It may or may not even be used."

Security forces have bought four of the portable loudspeakers, also known as a sonic guns because the volume can be turned up to such levels they can be used as weapons.

The devices look harmless enough, like a large, home stereo speaker that can be strapped to an officer's chest. Protest groups say they should not be allowed because the sound can be turned to as loud as 146 decibels, or the equivalent of a firecracker exploding by your ear.

Afghan Peace Conference Continues as Violence Rocks South

Another day of peace talks in Afghanistan , the Taliban has joined in again with some RPG's and some Gunfire .

They must really want some peace .

VOA
The gathering's opening was disrupted Wednesday by the sound of loud explosions as Taliban militants fired missiles and gunfire near the meeting site in western Kabul. The attack took place as Mr. Karzai was giving his opening address to the crowd of nearly 1,600 delegates.

Missiles fell near the huge tent where the "jirga," or assembly, is taking place, but no one was hurt. Officials said security forces killed two would-be bombers who tried to infiltrate the meeting disguised as women.

Organizers say the goal of the peace conference is to reach a consensus for a road map to reconcile with Taliban insurgents and other extremist groups that are attacking the government and U.S. and NATO troops.

Russia says terrorists seeking nuclear materials

I've heard this before , It really sounds like if you have enough money or actually work at a Russian Nuclear facility , you can walk away with whatever you Want !

The end result of Russian failure , Nuclear Jihad !

(Reuters) - The chief of Russia's state security service said on Wednesday that terrorists were seeking access to nuclear materials across the former Soviet Union, Russian news agencies reported.

Alexander Bortnikov, the chief of the FSB, the main successor to the Soviet-era KGB, gave no further details about the attempts or which groups had sought the materials.

"We have information which indicates that terrorists are continuing to attempt to get access to nuclear materials (and) biological and chemical components," he was quoted as saying by Interfax and Itar-Tass.

"We are paying constant attention to this issue," Bortnikov said, referring to concerns that terrorists could get their hands on nuclear materials.

Nuclear experts say there is no sign that terrorists have acquired weapons-grade nuclear material but there have been at least 18 documented cases of theft or loss of plutonium or highly enriched uranium, several in the ex-Soviet Union.

Despite major, heavily U.S.-funded security improvements at Russian facilities containing nuclear materials since the 1991 Soviet collapse, experts say the risk of theft remains.

Among concerns are the potential for theft by insiders -- particularly in a country plagued by corruption -- as well as imperfect accounting for the materials and inexperienced guards, according to Harvard University nuclear expert Matthew Bunn.
