Kilpatrick imprisoned, faces 1½ to 5 years

HA HA !
Bye Bye Kwame , Enjoy The fruits of your labor !
Oh he will Be fine in the Big house , Maybe he can spend the time learning a new trade .
I bet this somBitch will even collect Unemployment !

Former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick entered the Michigan state prison system today after being sentenced to 1½ to five years for violating his probation.

His imprisonment, imposed today by Wayne County Circuit Judge David Groner, also cost Kilpatrick his job.

“Kwame Kilpatrick will be off the Compuware Corporation payroll at the end of the month," said a company statement. "We don’t have any choices. It’s an unfortunate situation, and we feel bad for his family, but our hands are tied.”

Leaders across metro Detroit also called the situation unfortunate, but they said it was time to move on.

Earlier, a frustrated Groner ordered Kilpatrick to serve 18 months to five years in prison, declaring that Kilpatrick had lied while on probation and maliciously hid money that was supposed to go toward repaying the City of Detroit $1 million in restitution.

“Your testimony in this court amounted to perjury,” Groner said, alluding to the ex-mayor’s explanations for how hundreds of thousands of dollars passed through his family’s bank accounts without being accounted for, or applied to, Kilpatrick’s restitution obligations.

Obama to send troops, bolster border security

Wha Wha What ?
Send the National Gaurd to thee Border ? To Help out and Protect us ?
WTF Is going on ?
Of course it is really not enough to really do anything , but we will Take it .
I guess it is a start , I just feel funny about it you know , Like I should be waiting for the sharp driving pain of a Knife about the middle of my back , Kinda the same one I get every April 15th .

WASHINGTON, May 25 (Reuters) - President Barack Obama will seek $500 million for security and send up to 1,200 National Guard troops to the U.S.-Mexican border, an administration official said on Tuesday, after demands from both Republicans and Democrats for more federal resources along the frontier.

The announcement comes as the Democratic president seeks Republican support for a sweeping overhaul of U.S. immigration laws, and seeks to rally opposition to a tough new immigration law in Arizona that has caused tension in U.S. relations with Mexico, without seeming soft on illegal border crossings.

The troops will provide intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance support, intelligence analysis, immediate support to counternarcotics enforcement and training capacity until the Customs and Border Patrol agency can recruit and train more border officers and agents, the official said.

The funds will be used to enhance technology at the border and share information and support between law enforcement agencies as they target illegal trafficking in people, drugs, weapons and money.

Prosecutors seek 2- to 5-year sentence for Kilpatrick

HA, HA ,
And I hope he Gets it ! It would serve him right after what he has done to Detroit , And when his sentence is up , Texas Can have Him back .

The Freep.com
The Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office is recommending a sentence of 2-5 years in prison for former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick for violating his probation from the text message scandal by failing to meet financial reporting obligations and not turning over tax refunds and political money.

The recommendation was made in a sentencing memorandum filed this afternoon with the court clerk’s office.

The memo states that the sentencing guideline of 0-17 months “does not adequately reflect the severity of his conduct.” It goes on to state that “the defendant cannot show any rehabilitative potential when he continuously lies to the court and indeed has defrauded the court and the City of Detroit out of its rightfully owed restitution payments.”

In his sentencing memo, defense lawyer Michael Alan Schwartz said it’s best for everyone – except the former mayor’s most bitter haters – to keep Kilpatrick outside and drumming up sales for Covisint, a subsidiary of Detroit-based Compuware, so he can pay the city.

But he has been working , and he still is not paying

Slipknot bassist Paul Gray found dead at Urbandale hotel

I wander out where you can't see ,

Inside My Shell I Wait and Bleed !

RIP Paul .

DemoinesRegister.com
Urbandale police are investigating the death of the bass guitarist for Grammy award-winning Slipknot at a local hotel.

Paul Dedrick Gray, 38, of Johnston was found dead at approximately 10:50 a.m. today by an employee at TownePlace Suites, 8800 Northpark Drive, police said.

There was no evidence of foul play, police said, but the investigation is ongoing.

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday. Toxicology tests will be done.

Gray was a founding member of Slipknot and one of only two members not born in Iowa. The band broke into the mainstream with a platinum-selling self-titled debut in 1999. Two follow-ups, 2002's "Iowa" and 2005's "Vol. 3 (The Subliminal Verses)" also went platinum. The band has been nominated for seven Grammy awards, winning in 2006 for best metal performance.

In 2008, Slipknot released its most recent album, “All Hope Is Gone,” and toured arenas, including its first-ever show at Wells Fargo Arena in January. The band ended its tour cycle in October, and members of the band have been working on individual projects since then.

Key Al Qaeda Figure Accidentally Blows Himself Up, U.S. Officials Say

Always good to Hear ! Another Al Qaida Numnut sploding himself up !

Video Below is not of Nayif Al-Qahtani Blowing his ass Up , It is of some other Jihadist Douchebag Blowing his dumbass Up !

Just so you can see what it looks like when Terrorists have A Fatal Fail ,in the Field !

Foxnews
A man whom the U.S. described as a key figure in Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula accidentally blew himself up, U.S. military officials told Fox News.

The officials say Nayif Al-Qahtani was "messing with a bomb" when it went off. U.S. officials had been watching him, but Fox News' sources insist the U.S. had nothing to do with his death.

Al-Qahtani was "a vibrant guy linked to ongoing operations planning, and his death will have an impact," one official told Fox News.

An Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula newsletter was the first to announce his death a week after the United States put terror sanctions on him. The newsletter did not say when it happened but said Al-Qahtani died in Yemen's Abyan province in the south of the country.

The State Department recently described al-Qahtani as "a liaison between Al Qaeda cells in Yemen and Saudi Arabia." It said he manages Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula's operations in Yemen and receives financial support from abroad to launch attacks in both Yemen and Saudi Arabia.

Drywall report: China samples worst

And all the blame will still be put on National Gypsum.
And China will be told not to do it again !

South Florida Business Journal
A recent report published by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is being cited as further proof that drywall imported from China between 2004 and 2006 emits higher levels of sulfur gases than domestic supplies.

The report, dated March 2010, reiterates results of a test in which the top 10 sulfur-emitting drywall samples came from China.

The CPSC previously announced similar findings, and the new report adds to evidence of the difference between domestic and Chinese drywall.

National Gypsum, a Charlotte, N.C.-based drywall manufacturer with a plant in Apollo Beach, said in news release Thursday that it believes the report provides further proof it is not responsible for sulfur gas problems associated with Chinese drywall. Two of the samples used by the CPSC were from National Gypsum.

Scientists create synthetic cell, version 1.0

Some serious over the top science , But don't be skeered !
This little tidbit should bring the Religious zealots out of the wood works !
It is human nature to Dissect and understand , And like Neil Armstrong said
"One small step for man , One giant leap for Mankind "

cnet
Scientists at the J. Craig Venter Institute have created a synthetic cell that can survive and reproduce itself according to an artificial DNA sequence, promising designer genomes with which researchers can produce sophisticated artificial organisms.

The new bacterial cell, "Mycoplasma mycoides JCVI-syn1.0," is the result of a 15-year, $30 million effort by genetics pioneer Craig Venter. The study, led by the institute's Dan Gibson, is reported in the May 21 edition of the journal Science.

The team of 25 researchers took Mycoplasma capricolum bacteria and completely rewrote its genetic code of more than 1 million base pairs of DNA. The data was sequenced as chemical DNA fragments and sewn together using yeast and E. coli bacteria.

The synthetic genome was transplanted into empty Mycoplasma mycoides bacteria, which were transformed into a new species. The creature's software-like name, JCVI-syn1.0, reflects its status as the first of its kind.

To prove the genome is synthetic and to assert their ownership, the scientists even "watermarked" it by forming encoded words with the alphabet of genes and proteins. They included three quotations, among them a line from "A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man" by James Joyce: "To live, to err, to fall, to triumph, to recreate life out of life." They also added a URL and e-mail address to allow researchers who decode the words to notify the institute.

Ann Arbor illegal immigrant jailed after protest at Sen. McCain's office

So a Gay Iranian Muslim , who is an Illegal Immigrant , decides to protest and gets his ass thrown in jail for breaking the law !
Now he faces Deportation , But back to Iran ?
If Iran gets him they will already Know that he is Gay , And he will be Hanged !
Maybe this Dumbass Should have thought about that before he decided to get Arrested , And it would not be because of Arizona's immigration law ! It is because you are not supposed to be in this country ILLEGALLY !

Freep.com
A Muslim illegal immigrant from Ann Arbor who fears deportation to Iran because he is gay is in jail today after leading a sit-in protest Monday inside the office of Sen. John McCain over Arizona's new immigration law. Tonight in Detroit, a vigil for him is to be held in Clark Park.

Mohammad Abdollahi, 24, of Ann Arbor was one of a group of protesters who were arrested Monday at the Tucson, Ariz., offices of McCain after trespassing and sitting in the office in protest of the Arizona law targeting illegal immigrants. He could now face deportation proceedings.

A spokeswoman for McCain, Brooke Buchanan, said today that their office gave the protesters leeway and did not immediately call the police when they arrived at the office with an attorney. McCain's office let them even stay inside the office one hour past closing time.

Buchanan said that McCain is committed to immigration reform, but the U.S. must first secure its borders. McCain has called for the National Guard to be deployed on the southern border to stem a rising tide of violence.

Muslims in NYC Planning to Build Second, Smaller Mosque Near Ground Zero

In fact, the website appealing for donations boldly states that it plans to “build the 'House of Allah' next to the World Trade Center. Help us raise the flag of 'LA ILLAH ILLA ALLAH' in downtown Manhattan."

We can raise our own Flags too !

Foxnews
As controversy surrounds the construction of a 13-story mosque just two blocks from Ground Zero, FOX News has learned that an effort to place a second mosque close to the hallowed site in New York City is in its advanced stages.

The Masjid Mosque has raised $8.5 million and is seeking an additional $2.5 million to begin construction. While it apparently has not settled on a final location, it has told donors it plans to build very close to where 3,000 people were killed in the September 11 terror attacks.

In fact, the website appealing for donations boldly states that it plans to “build the 'House of Allah' next to the World Trade Center. Help us raise the flag of 'LA ILLAH ILLA ALLAH' in downtown Manhattan."

One source said he believed the planners are considering a five-story building on 23 Park Place, closer to Ground Zero than the 13-story mosque the Cordoba Initiative is planning to build. But a tax record search shows that 23 Park Place is in private hands and has not changed owners since 2008.

Unlike the massive $100 million Cordoba House mosque, the Masjid Mosque is small – and it is no stranger to the neighborhood. Since 1970 it had been located at 12 Warren Street, about four blocks north of the World Trade Center, in a neat but nondescript industrial space that once housed a printing shop. It lost its lease in 2008 when the building was sold, and it was evicted from its second-floor prayer space on May 25 of that year. Since then it has been operating out a cramped basement space in a nearby building at 20 Warren Street.

Private US spy network still in Pakistan, Afghanistan

The US military is largely prohibited from operating inside Pakistan, The Times noted. And under Pentagon rules, the army is not allowed to hire contractors for spying.

And chances are , the Top Government and Military officials of Pakistan and Afghanistan will Deny any knowledge of these Operations !
They are "Un-Official".

Dawn.com
WASHINGTON: Despite official denials, a secret network of private spies set up by a US Defense Department official continues to operate in Afghanistan and Pakistan, The New York Times reported late Saturday.

Citing unnamed US officials and businessmen, the newspaper said the network was still operating, the paper reported.

Its reports on Taliban activities, especially in Pakistan, were submitted almost daily to top US commanders in the region.

The Times reported in March that Defense Department official Michael Furlong had set up a network of private contractors in Afghanistan and Pakistan to help track and kill suspected militants.

He did this under the cover of a benign government information-gathering program.

In the wake of those reports, US government officials said it was a rogue operation that had been shut down once an investigation had begun.

But interviews with more than a dozen current and former government officials and businessmen, and an examination of government documents, suggested otherwise, the paper said...

The contractors were still being paid under a 22-million-dollar contract managed by defense corporation Lockheed Martin and supervised by the Pentagon office in charge of special operations policy, the paper said.

Details emerge of Pakistani Taliban's alleged role in Times Square bombing

So for a mere fifteen thousand dollars this Pakistani Taliban wannabe little bitch was willing to Kill who knows how many American's .

I say some serious Hellfire Missile Barrage's should be delivered to the Mohmand region of Pakistan in honor of Faisal Shazad's Little Jihad attempt !

The L.A. Times
Reporting from Washington
The main suspect in the attempted Times Square bombing received several days of training in Pakistan's Mohmand region and roughly $15,000 from the Pakistani Taliban to finance the attack, according to U.S. officials briefed on the case.

It appears likely that Faisal Shahzad, the Pakistani American accused of leaving a Nissan Pathfinder loaded with fertilizer and propane tanks in Times Square, came up with the idea of the car bomb himself, one official said. Shahzad then apparently persuaded the militant group to give him assistance when he traveled to Pakistan's border region in 2009 or early 2010.

"The targeting part of it was his," said one official briefed on the case, speaking on condition of anonymity. "But the guy was convincing enough to get resources."

The findings are part of a growing body of evidence that the Pakistani Taliban, known as Tehrik-e-Taliban, was deeply involved in the attempted bombing, the officials said, though they concede that key questions remain unanswered.

Investigators are still attempting to determine what role senior Pakistani Taliban leaders played in the operation.

Officials: 3 men kidnapped, murdered in Juárez were US citizens

Very sad , But even more sad is the fact that this could have been prevented , It is no secret that Jaurez is a War Zone , it is also no secret that the Cartels have put out the word that , any party , gathering , Wedding , funeral , whatever the reason for the get together , it is a high value target for them !
A Simple step to stay alive , stay out of Mexico , especially Jaurez !

El Paso Times
Chihuahua state police confirmed Tuesday that three of the four bodies found in the back of a pickup in east Juárez on Monday were those of U.S. citizens abducted during a wedding last week.

Police identified the victims as bridegroom Rafael Morales Valencia, 29, his brother, Jaime Morales Valencia, 25, and their uncle Guadalupe Morales Arriola, 51.

All are from La Mesa, N.M., in Doña Ana County.

The identity of the fourth victim was not released.

The Moraleses were kidnapped by gunmen who burst into the wedding ceremony Friday evening at El Señor de la Misericordia Catholic church.

Another man, Alonso Sotelo Corral, was killed in the parking lot outside the church as he ran away or interfered during the kidnapping.

On Monday, Mexican police found four bodies with signs of torture in the covered bed of a Toyota Tacoma with Texas license plates...

The slayings of the three family members are the latest murders of U.S. citizens in Juárez after the killings of a U.S. Consulate employee and her husband in March.

According to the U.S. State Department, from January 2008 to December 2009, 39 U.S. citizens were killed in Juárez and four more in other parts of Chihuahua state.

A report by the State Department indicates a surge in slayings of U.S. citizens in Juárez in the last six months of 2009 - 16 victims compared with seven in the first half of the year. Figures for 2010 were not available

Iran Eases Grip on Al Qaeda

Iran is working on a Buddy System With Al Qaida .

Iran will do Anything to stir The pot of antagonism With America

Foxnews
WASHINGTON – Al Qaeda operatives who have been detained for years in Iran have been making their way quietly in and out of the country, raising the prospect that Iran is loosening its grip on the terror group so it can replenish its ranks, former and current U.S. intelligence officials say.

This movement could indicate that Iran is re-examining its murky relationship with Al Qaeda at a time when the U.S. is stepping up drone attacks in Pakistan and weakening the group's leadership. Any influx of manpower could hand Al Qaeda a boost in morale and expertise and threaten to disrupt stability in the region.

U.S. officials say intelligence points to a worrisome increase in movement lately.

Details about Al Qaeda's movements and U.S. efforts to monitor them were outlined to The Associated Press in more than a dozen interviews with current and former intelligence and counterterrorism officials, most of whom spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the matter.

The relationship between Iran and Al Qaeda has been shrouded in mystery since the U.S.-led invasion of Afghanistan in 2001, when many Al Qaeda leaders fled into Iran and were arrested. The Shiite regime there is generally hostile to the Sunni terrorist group, but they have an occasional relationship of convenience based on their shared enemy, the U.S.

U.S. intelligence officials have tried wiretapping and satellite imagery to watch the men. The CIA even established a highly classified program — code-named RIGOR — to study whether it could track and kill terrorists such as Al Qaeda in Iran. Results have been mixed. Monitoring and understanding al-Qaida in Iran remains one of the most difficult jobs in U.S. intelligence.

"This has been a dark, a black zone for us," former CIA officer Bruce Riedel said. "What exactly is the level of al-Qaida activity in Iran has always been a mystery."

Study shows broad support for Arizona migrant law

Soooooo , Again we have a large majority of U.S. Citizens are in support of Arizona Clamping down on Illegal Immigration .
Sounds about right to me , With the exception of a few Certain Democratic Politicians and Of course your standard people who benefit from USING migrant workers , The only ones really Bitching About this law would be the Illegal Immigrant's .
Sorry people but you must Abide by the Law !
But with Obama in Charge I'm sure we will have some sort of Amnesty for Illegals Crammed down our throats , just like the Healthcare reform !

(Reuters) - A solid majority of Americans back Arizona's tough crackdown on illegal immigrants, while just 25 percent support President Barack Obama's immigration policy which includes legalizing millions of unauthorized migrants, a study found on Wednesday.

The controversial Arizona law passed last month requires state and local police, after making "lawful contact," to check the immigration status of anyone they reasonably suspect is in the country illegally, and arrest those who cannot prove it.

The report by the Pew Research Center for the People and the Press (www.people-press.org) found that 59 percent of adults polled in a national survey gave their overall approval to the law, which opponents charge is unconstitutional and a mandate for racial profiling.

Seventy-three percent said they backed a measure requiring people to produce documents verifying their legal status if police ask for them, while 67 percent approve of allowing police to detain anyone who cannot verify that they are in the country legally.

The new law has pushed a debate over immigration to the fore in U.S. politics, and rebooted a drive by Obama and Senate Democrats to overhaul federal immigration laws -- although it is seen as a longshot before November congressional elections.

Obama supports a system allowing undocumented immigrants in good standing to pay a fine, learn English and become citizens. He also backs tightening border security and clamping down on employers that hire undocumented workers.

The survey, carried out among 994 adults -- found that only 25 percent supported Obama's handling of immigration policy, while more than twice as many -- 54 percent -- said they disapproved.

U.S. Missiles Kill 24 in Taliban Sanctuary in Pakistan

A little UPDATE !

Add 10 more to the Death Toll From the Airstrikes , A total of 24 Taliban Received The Hellfire Enema .
The Brother of a Taliban Commander was Killed in the Airstrikes , But there must have been somebody Bigger there to receive such a Barrage of Missiles !

Foxnews
PARACHINAR, Pakistan (AP) — Two separate volleys of American missiles slammed into a Taliban sanctuary in Pakistan close to the Afghan border Tuesday, killing at least 24 alleged insurgents in the latest such strikes since a failed car bombing in New York, officials said.

The first strike in North Waziristan involved up to 18 missiles -- an unusually intense bombardment.

They struck cars, homes and tents across a wide area in the Doga area, where insurgents have hideouts and training facilities, killing 14 alleged militants, two intelligence officials said on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to the media.

Hours later, another pair of missiles hit a compound in the Gorwek area of North Waziristan killing another 10 suspected insurgents, including the brother of a reputed Taliban commander, Maulvi Kalam.

The identities of the rest of the people killed in the attacks were not immediately known.

Chile nabs Pakistani with trace explosive at U.S. embassy

I guess Pakistanis are just infatuated with Bombs , so many of them have links to Some kind of Bomb Stuff whether it be a suicide vest / Belt , or an IED , They Have their hands all up In it !

(Reuters) - A Chilean judge ordered a Pakistani man be held under an anti-terrorism law on Tuesday after he was arrested in the U.S. embassy in Chile with traces of explosive on him.

The man identified as Muhammad Saif-ur-Rehman Khan by the U.S. State Department was arrested on Monday at the embassy in Santiago where his visa for the United States was revoked.

A senior State Department official said Khan, a 28-year-old student who had been in Chile for four months, was invited to the embassy to be told that his U.S. visa was being revoked.

The U.S. official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said he was not aware of any link between Khan and the Pakistani-American accused of trying to bomb New York's Times Square on May 1. He declined to say why the visa was revoked.

"This man was in possession of a (U.S.) visa. Based on the information that we had, we revoked his visa. We are required to notify individuals when we take that action and we invited him in," the official said.

During routine visitor screening at the embassy, Khan was found to have traces of explosives on his clothes and was later detained by Chilean police, State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley said at his daily briefing in Washington.

Asked if there was a legitimate reason why the man might have been exposed to explosives -- such as working at a site where detonations occur -- Crowley replied: "We'll see."

"At this point ... we don't think that this was a spurious hit on our detection system," Crowley said.

A Chilean state prosecutor invoked Chile's anti-terrorism law to prolong Khan's detention while he is being investigated, and a judge gave a five-day extension.

US drone attack kills 14 militants in North Waziristan

US drones fired a barrage of 12 missiles

A Barrage !
it sounds so nice !

Dawn.com
MIRANSHAH: US drones fired a barrage of 12 missiles, destroying a training camp for extremist fighters in Pakistan's tribal belt and killing 14 militants on Tuesday, security officials said.

It was the second strike in the same mountainous area close to the Afghan border since Sunday, when the United States accused the Pakistani Taliban of being behind a plot to detonate a car bomb in Times Square 10 days ago, reports AFP.

The training camp was run by militants attached to Taliban-linked Afghan warlord Hafiz Gul Bahadur, who is reputed to control up to 2,000 fighters who attack US-led forces over the border in Afghanistan, officials said.

The compound was in the Lowara Mandi area of North Waziristan district, seen as a fortress of Taliban and Al-Qaeda-linked militants in Pakistan's semi-autonomous tribal badlands.

“According to the latest reports we have, a total of 14 militants were killed. They targeted a compound and vehicles parked outside the house,” one senior Pakistani security official told AFP on condition of anonymity.

3 headless, tortured bodies found outside Acapulco; 5 shot to death north of Mexican resort

Acapulco , Apparently not such a nice place to vacation anymore , I guess the Cartels need some R&R too.

Foxnews
ACAPULCO, Mexico (AP) — Three headless bodies showing signs of torture were found just outside Acapulco and the bodies of five other men with multiple gunshot wounds were discovered in a car north of the Pacific resort, police said Saturday.

Police in the southwestern state of Guerrero, where Acapulco is located, said the three beheaded men appeared to be in their 20s and 30s, but their identities and a motive had not been determined. They were found on a peninsula a few miles south of Acapulco.

About 50 miles (80 kilometers) north, near the small town of Tecpan de Galeana, police discovered five bodies in a car left on a dirt road about 100 yards (90 meters) off a main highway.

A police report said all five men had been repeatedly shot. Two bodies were in the front of the vehicle and three in the trunk, the report said.

The U.S. State Department warned this week that parts of Guerrero state could be dangerous for travelers due to drug violence.

At the same time, the travel warning noted that Mexican officials make a concerted effort to protect foreign tourists and that "resort areas ... in Mexico do not see the levels of drug-related violence and crime reported in the border region and in areas along major drug trafficking routes."

More than 22,700 people have been killed in drug-related violence since President Felipe Calderon launched an offensive against cartels shortly after taking office in December 2006.

Pakistan mosque accused of strong militant ties

And the list of Associates Gets longer .

(Reuters) - The mosque linked to associates of the man accused of the failed Times Square bombing has recruited young men for militant training in the past and may still have links to a banned group, security officials and residents said.

The Bat'ha Mosque, in a lower middle-class neighborhood in the north of Karachi, is often visited by Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) leaders, neighbors said, but it tries to conceal its links to the banned group.

"On the face of it, the mosque has no more links with Jaish, but that's not true," said a resident who was once involved in the management of the mosque.

"They are still close and leaders of the group regularly come here to attend congregations," he said.

JeM was formed in 2000 to liberate what it considers Indian-occupied Kashmir but has splintered since then.

It is blamed for numerous attacks against Pakistani civilian and military targets and has also been blamed for the murder of U.S. journalist Daniel Pearl.

It has links to Afghanistan dating back to the war against the Soviet occupation and still recruits and trains thousands of young men to fight Western forces in Afghanistan.

Somalis hijack Russian tanker, warship dispatched

"Any attempt to rescue the ship will certainly endanger the crew. The ship will be docked at Garacad," Abdi told Reuters by telephone, adding it was too early to talk about a ransom.

A Russian Warship has been sent to deal with this in a passive manner ?

(Reuters) - Somali pirates hijacked a Russian tanker carrying $52 million worth of crude oil and 23 crew on Wednesday, prompting Russia to send a warship to try to deal with the incident, officials said.

Pirates who hijacked the China-bound, Russian-owned MV Moscow University tanker 350 miles off the coast of Yemen warned against any rescue attempt, saying this would endanger the Russian crew.

"A Russian warship is moving toward the tanker," Russian defense ministry spokesman Alexei Kuznetsov said. The Chief of the Russian General Staff cut short a visit to NATO headquarters in Brussels to coordinate the military's response, he added.

The vessel had been traveling under a Liberian flag from Sudan to the Chinese port of Nigbo with 86,000 tonnes of oil owned by Chinese refiner Unipec, a Russian shipping source said. Maritime experts said the tanker had a deadweight of 106,474 tonnes.

"The crew members locked themselves in the radar room. This ship has been hijacked," Commander Rear Admiral Jan Thornqvist of the European Union's Navfor naval force told reporters in the Kenyan port of Mombasa.

One pirate who identified himself as Abdi said the tanker was heading to a pirate haven on the coast of central Somalia.

Administration Faces Criticism for Mirandizing Times Square Suspect

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer said Tuesday that Shahzad's citizenship should settle the issue.

"This is a U.S. citizen arrested on U.S. soil. He is suspected of committing a crime," Hoyer said. "I think it's pretty-well settled law."

In other words , HML Steny Hoyer , Would think it O.K. if say some Lone wolf style radical Islamists hell bent on their Jihad , were to come to the U.S. , work for their Citizenship , get it , And then commit their fully premeditated crime And then just be considered a U.S. Citizen Who has Committed a crime ! Not an Al Qaida operative or a Taliban Reject ,

Sorry Dumbass but a Terrorist is a Terrorist no matter what you say !

Foxnews
The Obama administration is once again facing criticism for deciding to Mirandize a terror suspect within hours after his arrest, with some officials saying investigators questioning the Times Square bombing suspect didn't need to read him his rights until they got more information.

Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., and other Republicans say Faisal Shahzad, a naturalized U.S. citizen, should have been treated as an enemy combatant out of the gate. Sen. Joe Lieberman, I-Conn, said as far as he's concerned, Shahzad lost his entitlement to Miranda Rights when he was arrested on terrorism charges....

Going forward, Lieberman said he wants to introduce legislation that would strip U.S. citizenship -- and its inherent rights -- from anyone found to be fighting with a foreign terror group.

While lawmakers can do nothing about Shahzad now that he has been read his rights, Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., on Wednesday suggested that if Shahzad is being tried as a U.S. citizen in a civilian court, federal prosecutors should consider charging him with treason -- a crime that carries the death penalty.

"When it comes to an American citizen, they have a responsibility under the Constitution not to betray their country," Graham said. "There's a place for federal court and the charge of treason should always be on the table. No one got killed in this instance, thank God, but if it is proven that this man committed an act of treason against his fellow citizens, I want to keep that charge available to our government."

As a U.S. citizen, Shahzad could still face a military commission if he is found to be linked to Al Qaeda.

Wearing A Burqa In Italy Could Be Costly

“We think people who come to this country have to live by the rules that are shared by everyone,”

Awesome , Italy sticking it to the Burqa wearing Muslim Women !

Foxnews
While the Belgium Parliament debates a ban on full Muslim veils, a town in northern Italy has already put a ban into practice, fining a woman 500 Euros – more than $650 -- this week for wearing a burqa in public.

“The fine is meant to be expensive; people should know they are risking a big fine,” the Assessor for Public Safety in the city of Novara, Mauro Franzinelli, told Fox News.

Municipal police in Novara, in the northern Piedmont region, fined the Tunisian woman for challenging the city ordinance.

Franzinelli, who helped the mayor of Novara draft the anti-burqa ordinance in January, said immigrants have got to learn to adapt to their new homes. “We think people who come to this country have to live by the rules that are shared by everyone,” he told Fox.

A 1975 anti-terrorism law prohibits people, as a question of public safety, from wearing masks, full motorcycle helmets or other clothing in public places that would keep them from being identified. But courts have made some exceptions for religious reasons, leading some towns in Italy to try to get rid of the loopholes.

In Belgium, the lower house of Parliament recently passed legislation prohibiting full veils in public, and the measure is now scheduled to go to the Senate.

A British soldier dubbed the Silent Assassin has broken a distance record after taking down two targets from a mile and a half away.

Corporal of Horse Craig Harrison, a British Army sniper, killed two Taliban machine gunners in Afghanistan from a distance of 8,120 feet, Sky News reported.

"The first round hit a machine gunner in the stomach and killed him outright. He went straight down and didn't move," the 35-year-old said of the incident, which took place in November 2009.

"The second insurgent grabbed the weapon and turned as my second shot hit him in the side. He went down, too. They were both dead."

Harrison was nearly 3,000 feet beyond the effective range of his British-built L115A3 Long Range Rifle...

The sniper's shots broke a record previously held by Cpl. Rob Furlong, a Canadian Forces soldier, who in 2005 killed an Al Qaeda gunman from about 7,972 feet away.

Sgt. Brian Kremer of the United States Army held the record in 2004 with a shot in Iraq that struck its target from about 7,545 feet.

17 Suspected Illegal Immigrants Caught in Search for Ariz. Deputy's Attackers

Not only did Illegal Immigrants shoot a Sheriffs Deputy , While they were Breaking more than A few laws ! They also shot at Police helicopters that were searching for them !
What nice people these Immigrants can be !

Foxnews
PHOENIX -- Authorities have captured 17 suspected illegal immigrants in southern Arizona as they continued their manhunt Saturday for smugglers who they say shot and wounded a sheriff's deputy in a remote desert area 50 miles south of Phoenix.

Three of those captured overnight Friday matched descriptions from the wounded Pinal County deputy and were being questioned Saturday, sheriff's Lt. Tamatha Villar said. The deputy was released from the hospital, and was recovering at home.

The shooting came amid a growing national debate over the state's new law cracking down on illegal immigration. A backlash over the law has erupted, with civil rights activists, concerned it will lead to racial profiling, calling for protests and boycotts.

Criticism of the law was sure to figure prominently at dozens of immigrants rights marches and rallies planned for Saturday across the nation, including one set for the grounds of the Arizona state Capitol.

The new law's passage came amid increasing anger in Arizona about violence, drug smugglers and illegal immigration drop houses. The issue gained renewed attention a month ago when a southern Arizona rancher was shot and killed by a suspected illegal border crosser.

Arizona politicians called Friday's shooting an outrage and urged the federal government to do more to secure the U.S.-Mexico border.

The violence "should show the rest of the country what we Arizonans have known for too long -- the unsecured border poses a very real and very immediate danger," said U.S. Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick, a Democrat whose district includes part of Pinal County
