NYC suspect was close to ready with bomb
This is the type of Jackass we need to look out for.
pretty spooky how close he was to pulling off his bombing plot, I watched last night as they showed the video of how powerful the little bombs were, that was not pretty.
My question is, if he is an Al Qaida Sympathizer, he goes by the name of Muhammad Yusuf, has a website called TrueIslam1, was a ghey follower of Anwar Al-awlaki( the very deceased Al Qaida leader) and really believes in Jihad, Why can nobody call him what he is, A Muslim? They just keep saying he is an American ! This is true but with all the evidence against him he is also a Muslim !
Bloomberg and his Douches are ignorant,
"He appears to be a total lone wolf," the mayor said. "He was not part of a larger conspiracy emanating from abroad."
Yeah Al Qaida is not a large organization looking to recruit Americans of Hispanic or south American ethnicity.
CBS news
An "al Qaeda sympathizer" accused of plotting to bomb police and post offices in New York City as well as U.S. troops returning home has been arrested on numerous terrorism-related charges.
Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced at a news conference Sunday the arrest of Jose Pimentel of Manhattan, "a 27-year-old al Qaeda sympathizer" who the mayor said was motivated by terrorist propaganda and resentment of U.S. troops in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said police had to move quickly to arrest Pimentel on Saturday because he was ready to carry out his plan.
"We had to act quickly yesterday because he was in fact putting this bomb together. He was drilling holes and it would have been not appropriate for us to let him walk out the door with that bomb," Kelly said.

Fort Hood inspired Seattle plot
why is it every time a home grown terror plot is foiled the perp is a Muslim?
I thought Islam was a peaceful religion?
Islam the religion of terrorist douchebags.
SEATTLE (AP) — The massacre at Fort Hood, Texas, and the ongoing war crimes prosecutions of Washington state soldiers helped inspire a terror plot in which two men planned to attack a military recruiting station in Seattle with grenades and machine guns, according to a federal complaint filed Thursday.
Abu Khalid Abdul-Latif, also known as Joseph Anthony Davis, of Seattle, and Walli Mujahidh, also known as Frederick Domingue Jr., of Los Angeles, were arrested Wednesday night.
The FBI ensnared them in a terror sting after they arrived at a warehouse garage to pick up machine guns to use in the attack, authorities said. The weapons had been rendered inoperable by federal agents and posed no risk to the public.

U.S. faces terror threat from within, Napolitano says
"One of the most striking elements of today's threat picture is that plots to attack America increasingly involve American residents and citizens,"
ore than 120 people have been indicted in federal court on terror-related charges. About 50 of them were U.S. citizens
Dammit Janet, at least you seem to be catching on.
USA Today
WASHINGTON — Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano offered a sobering assessment of the terror threat facing the United States on Wednesday, saying it was at perhaps the "most heightened state" since the Sept. 11 attacks nearly a decade ago.
Napolitano, appearing before the House Homeland Security Committee, said the threat from al-Qaeda, the group that planned the assaults in 2001, has been augmented by al-Qaeda-inspired groups and the emergence of homegrown radicals in the USA.
"One of the most striking elements of today's threat picture is that plots to attack America increasingly involve American residents and citizens," she said. "We are now operating under the assumption, based on the latest intelligence and recent arrests, that individuals prepared to carry out terrorist attacks and acts of violence might be in the United States, and they could carry out acts of violence with little or no warning."
During the past two years, more than 120 people have been indicted in federal court on terror-related charges. About 50 of them were U.S. citizens, said Rep. Pete King, R-N.Y., homeland committee chairman, citing Justice Department statistics.

U.S. Eyes Terror Charges for Radical Cleric Awlaki
Muslim Appeasement ?
Foxnews
WASHINGTON -- The Obama administration is considering filing the first criminal charges against radical cleric Anwar al-Awlaki in case the CIA fails to kill him and he is captured alive in Yemen. The decision continues the White House's strategy of fighting terrorism both in courthouses and on battlefields.
Al-Awlaki, a U.S. and Yemeni citizen born in New Mexico, has inspired a wave of attempted attacks against the United States and has become Al Qaeda's leading English-speaking voice for recruiting and motivating terrorists. Counterterror officials said al-Awlaki, since mid-2009, has become a major operational figure who selects targets and gives orders.

Father testifies Hutaree suspect visited militia activist Mark Koernke
It won't be long before somebody decides it is time to retaliate against the rotten Evil U.S Government , You can almost smell it brewing , Radical "Religious" Militia's are on the verge of Rampage ! And It is every bit as disturbing as waiting for Al Qaida to strike again !
Militias are not necessarily a bad thing , there are plenty of them in Michigan Alone (About 47) , But as with everything there are extremists , Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols , both of Oklahoma City Bombing fame , had ties to the Dexter Area Militias , in the Thumb of Michigan .
detnews.com
Detroit -- The alleged leader of the Hutaree militia, David Stone Sr., was a regular visitor to the home of Dexter-area militia activist Mark Koernke, a federal court hearing was told Wednesday.
At a bond appeal hearing, Stone's father, Ray Stone of Clayton, testified he has visited Koernke, 52, and his son David did several times since Koernke's release from prison in 2007. He served about six years for charges that included assaulting police.
Koernke was considered a leader of the militia movement and has hosted a "Mark from Michigan" radio show. He is also credited with the trilogy of "America in Peril" videos about the "New World Order" -- an alleged conspiracy involving international bankers, the United Nations and officials in the U.S. government.
Koernke, who did not immediately respond to a telephone message this morning, said in an Internet radio broadcast that militias would respond violently to the Hutaree arrests, Newsweek reported on April 2. But there has been no such reaction, and some militia members have taken credit for reporting the Hutaree's activities to the FBI.
Stone and eight alleged followers face seditious conspiracy and other charges in a federal grand jury indictment unsealed March 29, accused of plotting to kill police officers who Stone allegedly saw as members of a "brotherhood" aligned with the New World Order.

Mueller: Home-Grown Extremists as Threatening as Al Qaeda
“I feel no shame for it,” he says. “This was something that I saw as a larger good, and I know that, as I analyzed the history of not just the U.S., but all nations throughout the history of mankind. People have killed for what they believed was the greater good, and it’s accepted. Sometimes killing is accepted.”
As long as it's Assholes like the McVeighs , and the Bin Ladens, and the Mullah Omars of the world , I tend to agree !
A final Admission of Guilt !
So Yes , Home grown Extremists are ever bit as Deadly as Al Qaida !
And the Underlying theme in all Radical Extremism ?
Religious Extremism !
When you Confront the Enemy with the same views they have , You become one of them !

Fifteen years after the Oklahoma City bombing, the specter of domestic terrorism has returned to haunt the Obama administration, with a warning from the FBI that “home-grown and lone-wolf extremists” now represent as serious a threat as Al Qaeda and its affiliates, The Times reported on Saturday.
The warning, from the FBI Director, Robert Mueller, came as the former President Clinton drew parallels between the Oklahoma City tragedy and a recent upsurge in anti-government rhetoric, while American television audiences heard Timothy McVeigh, the Oklahoma City bomber, describe the “absolute rage” that drove him to plan an attack that killed 168 men, women and children.
An FBI spokesman said Friday that Mueller was referring to right-wing extremist groups and anti-government militias, as well as American Islamists, in his testimony to the Senate committee that must approve the FBI’s $8.3 billion budget.
Last month federal agents arrested nine members of a Christian militia based in Michigan, calling itself the Hutaree. They have been charged with plotting to murder local police with a stash of guns, knives and grenades.
Since the passage of President Obama’s health reforms, the FBI has also made arrests in Seattle and San Francisco after death threats were sent to Democratic senators.
“It’s one thing to express dissatisfaction with the Government but once you cross the line with a violent threat, that’s a violation that we take extremely seriously,” Bill Carter, the bureau’s spokesman, said.
The Oklahoma bombing was followed by an exhaustive civilian trial in which McVeigh became a hate figure to most but a hero to some members of the survivalist fringe on which he was radicalized.
He was executed in 2001, but not before granting 45 hours of death-row interviews to the authors of a book, American Terrorist, whose tapes will be broadcast for the first time on Monday.
McVeigh never confessed to the bombing in court but he appears to do so on the tapes.
“I feel no shame for it,” he says. “This was something that I saw as a larger good, and I know that, as I analyzed the history of not just the U.S., but all nations throughout the history of mankind. People have killed for what they believed was the greater good, and it’s accepted. Sometimes killing is accepted.”

Synagogue targeted in NY plot, four charged
And Until Certain People in this country realize that This type of Terror is still a threat here (Democrats ) and Start taking actions against it and the militants that spread the hate Within the U.S !
We will be subject to this from time to time !
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Four men were arrested on Wednesday in a
suspected plot to bomb a synagogue and Jewish community center in New
York City and to shoot at military planes with stinger missiles, law
enforcement officials said.
A joint release from the acting U.S. attorney for the Southern
District of New York, the FBI and the New York Police Department said
the suspects were charged with plotting to detonate explosives near a
synagogue in the Riverdale section of New York's Bronx borough.
The men were also charged with plotting to shoot military planes
located at New York's Air National Guard base at Stewart airport in
Newburgh, New York, with stinger surface-to-air guided missiles, the
statement said. Newburgh is about 60 miles north of New York City.
"The defendants wanted to engage in terrorist attacks. They selected
targets and sought the weapons necessary to carry out their plans," Lev
Dassin, acting U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York,
said in the statement.
The four men, identified as James Cromitie, David Williams, Onta
Williams and Laguerre Payen, were arrested after buying an inactive
missile and inert explosives in a sting operation run by the FBI and
other agencies, the complaint said.
"While the bombs these terrorists attempted to plant tonight were --
unbeknownst to them -- fake, this latest attempt to attack our freedoms
shows that the homeland security threats against New York City are
sadly all too real," New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg said in a
separate statement.
