An unmanned aircraft that can travel at the breakneck speed of 20 times the speed of sound will take off Wednesday from an Air Force base in California for a test flight.
The Falcon HTV-2 is an arrow-shaped aircraft that launches on a rocket, separates and then glides at hypersonic speeds of 13,000 mph through the Earth’s atmosphere. (To put it in perspective, it would take less than 12 minutes to fly from New York to Los Angeles.)
Wednesday’s launch marks the aircraft's second flight. In April 2010, the Falcon flew for nine minutes, including 130 seconds of Mach 22 to Mach 17 flight, according to DARPA, the military's research arm.
The goal of the second flight is to "validate our assumptions and gain further insight into extremely high Mach regimes that we cannot fully replicate on the ground," Air Force Maj. Chris Schulz said in a DARPA news release.

Small-scale attacks to continue, Al Qaeda group says

(Reuters) - Al Qaeda's Yemen-based wing threatened more small-scale attacks against the United States to inflict economic damage, particularly to the aviation industry.
Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) said it had cost just $4,200 to mail two parcel bombs from Yemen to the United States last month. The bombs were intercepted in Britain and Dubai, sparking a worldwide security alert.
"It is such a good bargain for us to spread fear amongst the enemy and keep him on his toes in exchange of a few months of work and a few thousand bucks," AQAP said in its online Inspire magazine, released on militant websites.
"We are laying out for our enemies our plan in advance because as we stated earlier our objective is not maximum kill but to cause (damage) in the aviation industry, an industry that is so vital for trade and transportation between the U.S. and Europe."

or countries that harbor Al Qaida
Question, At what point was Al Qaida willing to splode these up?
Did they intend to actually wait till they were inside a Synagogue, or were they going to blow them up over the United States?

Body remains found on wheels of plane in Riyadh
It just does not pay to be late for your plane (I bet his luggage got there on time)
(Reuters) - Workers at Riyadh airport found the remains of a body on the tires of a plane which arrived from Beirut early Saturday, an airport source in Beirut said.
The source said some passengers on the Saudi Arabian airline Nas Air flight had reported seeing a man with a backpack running toward the plane shortly before it took off from Beirut.
They told the pilot what they had seen, the source said, but the flight continued to Saudi Arabia and the body was only discovered after the plane had landed and been inspected.
Saudi and Lebanese officials were trying to establish the identity of the dead person, the source said.

Algeria protests at new U.S. air security rules
This is just another case of to F**king bad !
Maybe if people of the Muslim world , stood up and helped stop Terrorists A little more than they do now , then we would not have the problems we have at the Airports !
Take it from someone who flies quite often recently , It is not fun going through security on a normal day , But Now it is even tougher , longer and more aggravating , Thanks to another Muslim Douchebag who just wanted to blow people up for the good of his Cult like religion !

ALGIERS (Reuters) - Algeria's foreign minister summoned the U.S. ambassador on Monday to protest at Algeria's inclusion on a list of countries whose flights bound for the United States will be subject to extra security checks, state media reported.
The North African country is fighting an al Qaeda-linked insurgency but the violence has subsided significantly in the past few years and officials say they have stringent security measures in place, especially at airports.
Algeria's inclusion on the list -- announced by Washington after a botched attempt to blow up a Christmas Day flight bound for Detroit -- was "inappropriate, unjustified and discriminatory," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
"The Foreign Minister, Mr. Mourad Medelci, has summoned the ambassador of the United States of America in Algiers to express to him the Algerian government's strong protest over this measure," the official APS news agency said.
Algeria, a mainly Muslim energy exporter, has cooperated with the United States in the fight against violent Islamist militants.
The 14 countries on the U.S. list are Cuba, Iran, Syria, Sudan, Afghanistan, Algeria, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Somalia and Yemen.
Cuba and Nigeria have also complained about their inclusion in the list.

(USA Today )WASHINGTON — White House national security adviser James Jones says Americans will feel "a certain shock" when they read an account being released Thursday of the missed clues that could have prevented the alleged Christmas Day bomber from ever boarding the plane.
President Obama "is legitimately and correctly alarmed that things that were available, bits of information that were available, patterns of behavior that were available, were not acted on," Jones said in an interview Wednesday with USA TODAY.
"That's two strikes," Obama's top White House aide on defense and foreign policy issues said, referring to the foiled bombing of the Detroit-bound airliner and the shooting rampage at Fort Hood, Texas, in November. In that case, too, officials failed to act when red flags were raised about an Army psychiatrist, Maj. Nidal Hasan. He has been charged with killing 13 people.
Jones said Obama "certainly doesn't want that third strike, and neither does anybody else."
The White House plans to release an unclassified report Thursday on what went wrong in the incident involving a 23-year-old Nigerian man who tried to blow up a Northwest Airlines flight.
In Detroit Wednesday, the suspect, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, was indicted on charges that include attempted murder and trying to use a weapon of mass destruction to kill nearly 300 people. Abdulmutallab, who faces life in prison if convicted, is to appear for the first time in federal court Friday.

He has told investigators that he was trained and equipped in Yemen by a group affiliated with al-Qaeda. His father had gone to the U.S. Embassy in Nigeria to warn American officials that his son seemed to be turning to extremist ideology.
Even so, Abdulmutallab's visa to the U.S. wasn't revoked and he wasn't placed on the "no-fly" list.
So , I say we return the favor to the Dumocrats , and start making some real noise to the Obamasiah and all his Minions ( The Obamamaggots ) about the security of this country , just like they did to George Bush .

We have the largest mosque in north America , And the largest concentration of muslims in the U.S..

and now we have to go through even more screening at the Airports ( Good thing I drove home for Christmas ) .
I say profile ! Profile the hell out of Muslim passengers on planes ! Especially when they are coming into the States , it has not been Your average white American Bible thumping , redneck right wing , Gun toting Male , doing this shit all the time , every time it has been a Muslim ! (Or Radical Islamist If that makes you feel Better )

Police are conducting searches at a mansion block in London in connection with the inquiry into an attempted act of terrorism on a US passenger plane.
Abdul Farouk Abdulmutallab, 23, a Nigerian being held after the flight to Detroit, is thought to have been a student at University College London.
Prime Minister Gordon Brown said the UK would take "whatever action was necessary" to protect passengers.
UK airport operator BAA said searches on flights to the US would increase.
Meanwhile, a statement on British Airway's website said Washington has revised its security arrangements for all travellers to the US and they would only be allowed one piece of hand luggage.
A BA spokesman said the directive meant US-bound passengers on all airlines would be subjected to additional screening.
"We apologise to passengers for any delays to their journeys. Safety and security are our top priorities and will not be compromised."
