Juárez: Number of slayings in '09 passes 1,900

Nice eh? But try to find the toatal for killings this past weekend , You won't ,
It is all part of the Mexican / American plan to make Jaurez look like a nice place to visit , what you don't see or here will not bother you !
The bad thing is , My Mexican co-workers are afraid to go there !
They say it is unsafe for them !

The death toll in Juárez has surpassed the 1,900 mark for the year over the weekend, according to a tally kept by the El Paso Times.

By comparison, there were about 1,600 homicides in all of 2008, with about 300 in 2007.

The deaths are believed to be due in part to a war between the Juárez and Sinaloa drug cartels for control of smuggling routes and street level sales as well.
